I think even really seasoned singers/performers would be apprehensive to sing a whistle note live like this and sieun did it so casually like it was nothing, what a queen. Seeun was *phenomenal* here and I have to say, Isa’s voice is my favorite

@@kristinexd8949 honestly don’t know lmao but I was commenting more that like only 5% of singers can do whistle notes and of those, very few try to do it live. So it’s amazing to me that she did it, that’s what I was referring to :)

@@kristinexd8949 the fact that she can do it live is impressive, at the beginning it was a bit flat but then she fixed it. It's impressive because: Most artists tend to lower the key of their voice when signing live (and not only the high notes but the whole song in general) because they cannot carry those high notes for long time, and most K-pop groups avoid ad libs in general, Sieun's whistle note was not completely on key because I'm sure they made it even higher on post production. The only other artist that I've seen to make a whistle tone really close (if not exact) to the original was EXO's Xiumin on a CBX Concert

yea outperformed those groups who debut the same year as them. the voice she holds is not that high but so powerful yet knowing she's labeled in this group as 'lead/main rapper'. i'm so much proud for them being a 9 month olds rookie group but already take a 3rd win music show. can't wait for them to get bigger soon. 내 장테이씨 공주들 화이팅!

If I’m not wrong, that’s actually not a whistle note, but a super head voice note, which in my opinion is even harder than a whistle note in some sense, so Sieun really did a very good job! It’s notoriously hard to control the voice when using the super head voice

@@ally2009 yes you're right. That isn't a whistle note but a high head voice. But no, whistle note is the hardest register. While all singers can practise and hit higher notes in head voice with time, not many can do whistle notes.

@@bhelesiola whistle is harder because it's not supported. You can't access and switch it as easily as switching from chest voice to head voice and vice versa. It's disconnected, and depends on the quality of the sound(shrillness, tone etc). No one in kpop can control whistles. It's not necessary in singing. But it is way harder than high head voice.

@@wnterbear entiendo que pueda parecer un whistle por la tesitura y tono de Sieun, que de por si es fino y agudo, pero es un falsetto de manual. Es demasiado aireado para ser un whistle o voz de cabeza. Pero eh, si todo el fandom quiere creer que es un whistle, adelante.
