Are there classes or gatherings where I can take my children to help them to use their Hawaiian Language that I’ve been teaching them.

Just a quick reminder, when saying nā for certain things like kupuna and wahine, there is a kahakō over the first vowel, so itʻs n wāhine and nā kūpuna

Aloha, maybe someone here can help me with a question. Is there a rule for when to use au and/or wau or are they mostly used interchangeably?

I know it's late, but: kumu Kahikāhealani Wight writes in her book "Learn Hawaiian at Home" that au and wau are interchangeable, and that some speakers choose whichever flows best in each particular sentence.

There's gonna be way more problems than just the substances that falls out of out bodies because the bathroom is not gonna finish every single one of our problems because we might have a broken bone. We might be arguing with somebody. We might have crashed into another car or fell off our bicycles or lost our jobs. So i think that there should be another name for the restroom. Idk what els to call it, but i'm just saying.

He "lua" ia mea. It's a "lua". If public restrooms, then "lua kāne" and "lua wahine" and "lua ʻohana" are good names. If an outhouse or a port-a-potty, then "hale liʻiliʻi" or "lua liʻiliʻi" would work. "Lumi hoʻopau pilikia" (along with "wahi hilahila" -shameful/embarrassing/bashful place- for genitals) came from the American Missionaries of the early/mid 1800s. Aloha nō.
