I put concrete over my gas line and the company disconnected it until I put a casing around the gas line or rerouted it just so everyone knows what can happen I had a already super old line so I rerouted it and ran a new poly line worked out nicely but did cost me 300 and I did the digging . All the plumbers wanted around a 1000

I have taken out topsoil to put back sod and maintain the original required marginal drainage, fall away from the structure's foundation. It's not always as simple as it appears. I hate taking out topsoil too, but to maintain drainage...so be it. Even to put back gravel you still have to maintain proper drainage. As this house is on a slab it wouldn't take much rise to flood the structure in heavy rain conditions.

It's almost like we did what the homeowners asked us to do. I'm also almost certain, if they wanted the area weed whacked, they would have done so.
