Psssst! I hate that foaming when filling from that station. If you want to speed up the fueling, take out the screen filter. it pops right out. Don't lose it in the wind. as soon as your done filling up, place it back in, and done. helps TREMENDOUSLY!! Good video btw. I have a lowboy 2 11kw, has 4200 hours on it. I took out that fuel filter and replaced it with a regular "Baldwin" inline fuel filter. (no more possible cross threading for me) Thanks for the video. Have a GREAT Easter!

These are really nice generators, but I'm only looking at 1800 rpm units. My current unit has lasted since 1983 and just ran it 30 hours in the Florida hurricane. She's tired, so I'm shopping.

Great unit and design! It is perfect for a home back up, but my only 2 dislikes is the small fuel tank and that fact it runs at 3600 RPM. I wonder if that will affect is over life cycles becuase it is running double time as compared to the standard 1800 RPM. MQ Power is also another alternative but more costly. Thiose units are Denyo gnerators designed in Japan too.

I’m looking at that unit. I noticed the Kubota used quite a more fuel than the Generac. .85 verses 1.29 gallons an hour at 50 percent load. Curious but a 50 amp plug is only Rated for 12k. I’ll bet your losing the rest in those plugs on the front.

To make 14,000, it would need to have a larger HP engine, over 24.8HP (in Kubota anyway) they have to put the diesel particulate filter, and go common rail injection, making the price of this unit go up 4-5K. This is a way to have a smaller (lower price) engine and still get the 14,000 Watts

@b43xoit it wouldn't if would make the HP required at the lower rpm. To make enough power at 1800 rpm, the engine would be rated at over 24.8 hp, our "friends" at the epa say that over that, they have to put a dpf on the engine. Making the price go up and reliability(simplicity) go down.

It's not Rockys, but My kubota 2 11kw lowboy has a 7 gal tank, I use about 3/4 gallon diesel per hour at about 65% load. I would recommend using a quality fuel additive, IE: TK7 or HotShot ED takes very little each fill. (an ounce per 15 gallons) If you fill up 3, 5 gallon diesel containers, i just got a 10ml syringe fill it up one time for each 5 gallons and wah lah! Done (30ml is 1oz) My kubota has 4200 hours on it. Last year I had to replace two injectors but other than swapping out the fuel filter for an inline fuel filter, and regular maintenance, have had no problems. OH! DO NOT USE Dyed Diesel / Farm / Off Road fuel. Rocky has a very reputable generator with that Kubota.

@@bujin5455 lol. Only "online" ups can fix the line voltage. If it's a very cheap models (line interactive) will just ignore the distortion & fluctuations. And if it's a mid range model. It will refuse to take that dirty mains. Like my apc br1000g does not like the old honda ebk3000 generator and will refuse to use it's power. But the cheaper bx1100 on my dads computer will not care and provide that dirty power to the load. Only the online ups will take that dirty power convert it to dc and then convert it back to clean ac. Those ups's are very expensive and u can pretty much get an inverter generator. At that point and not worry about anything.

The Kubota SQ3140 revs at less than half the revs of yours at just 1,500rpm, it’s quieter and uses less fuel at 100% load as yours does at 40% load. It also provides both single and 3 phase power. I’m in the market to buy one and can only assume you chose a generator that has the same output but is strictly single phase, noisier, more thirsty and louder because of price?
