Kubota B2650 Lots Of Snow!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Kubota B2650 with B2782 front PTO shaft-driven snow blower moving snow during the near record setting winter of 2016/17 at Sundance Utah USA.
Black exhaust can sometimes be seen when the tractor is under heavy load. We try to avoid pushing it too hard, but sometimes it is done inadvertently for a few seconds.
The snow is strategically placed to avoid other roads and walkways.
Push snowblower is a two-stage self-propelled John Deere.

    I'm in Canada as well, that is an unbelievable amount of snow. That snow blower paid for itself that year alone . 🌨

    Yeah, they might be helpful, we clean under some things as well so I'm afraid they could also get in the way... I may have to look into it though.

    WOW! I've lived in Canada since 1989 and I have NEVER seen that much snow, EVER!!! I know some states get quite a bit more than Canada and I have been through Salt Lake City during a bad snowfall in Fargo North Dakota but I did not notice Utah being as bad as North Dakota. How exceptional is, this amount of snow, for Utah? Anyone? The reason I watched this is that I signed up for city sidewalk snow removal this year so I'm curious to see any tips and tricks. Thanks for the video!

    I still can't under stand why anyone with a Tractor waits till the snow gets deep. I live in Northern Michigan and I'm out 2 maybe even 3 times during a storm. So much easier on the unit and with the tractor its now work. One storm I was out every 3 hours clearing the snow.

    Well some people don’t have that kind of time, or the canyon might be closed and it’s hard to get up there. Plus if there isn’t enough snow it doesn’t blow very well, it sort of gets pushed around.

    @@PilotChip agreed, as a plow driver, I dont get to clear my property until the snow events over and roads are open. I have no choice but to wait... just one reason

    Thinking about trading my 3 point blower in on a front mount like this for my b2650. Would it be worth it? Any thoughts?

  • @PilotChip

    Mike Zahnow not sure. I think I’ve read that the rear PTO puts out slightly more power. That being said the front PTO is adequate and I don’t have a sore neck from looking out the back too much. I can see how it might be nice to have the loader on the front but we do just fine with our setup.

    I have the same setup and I can tell you right now the front blower is the way to go. No way I’d break my neck to turn around to snow blow after having this

    It must be the high altitude but your tractor exhaust is making the snowblower blacker than mine even though mine does get a little Black but not that much!

    Ben Boudreau yeah we’re around 6,800 feet. How about yourself? I’ve since made a slight modification to the exhaust so it shoots out the side more than the front. The snowblower stays much cleaner!

    Are you happy with the tractor and cab?

  • @PilotChip

    @PilotChip

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yeah the cab has been fantastic. I'm not sure how well it interfaces with a backhoe attachment since we don't have one. My only gripe is that the tractor isn't turbocharged, but the turbocharged models require the restrictive emissions controls which sounds like they come with their own set of issues. That being said, we operate this between 6 and 7,000 feet and it is does pretty well.

    Could you have gone faster? Seemed like that snow was pretty dense and not the fluffy stuff that snowblowers eat up. Nice video.

  • @PilotChip

    @PilotChip

    4 жыл бұрын

    We're at a relatively high altitude and with no turbo the machine doesn't put out as much power as at sea level. I assume if it were at SL we could go a little faster. Don't want to overload it so we take it at different speeds depending on the conditions: depth of snow, weight of snow, etc...
