Ha!. Thanks. I'm very happy with the outcome of the mods. They all work as designed. I used to operate heavy equipment for a living and I know what it's like to operate a loader with the center pins worn out or a machine with little to no heat or even poor lighting. This little tractor don't have much in common to the Cat 992, 988 or even the 966 I used to operate but it's fun to operate all the same. Glad you enjoyed seeing the machine and thanks for your kind words on my work :)

I think i may have been the one who sent you. I'm known on Orange Tractor Talks as "Wildfire". First of all thank you for your service in the Fire service. I have the utmost respect for the brave folks who do that kind of work. Secondly, thank for you very much for your kind words on my work. Safety for both the me and the person that's approaching me is very important and that's why I did the tractors lighting the way I did. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions you may have. Cheers!

Thank you. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video. I put a lot of thought and time into this tractor because it was a long term tractor. It only has 150 hours on it now so it's got a long life ahead yet. It's a very comfortable machine and with all the snow this winter I'm sure pleased we have it. Thank YOU for taking the time to comment. :)

Sir, you are absolutely brilliant! I have an open seat 5740 and absolutely love it. We do a LOT of bush hogging, demolition and dirt work plus snow plowing with a push/pull that I fabricated. I wish I could have all the lights and conveniences that you have. Really, really good fab work you have done. The tractor is so clean that I can't guess the hours you have put into the work. My goal is to do a stack but I need to get the muffler out from under the hood and pipe directly out the top as it would make my temps a lot better in the southern Missouri heat we get. I did the same on my old L4300F and never got above the centerline on the temp gauge again. Keep up the great work!

I plow snow for a guy that plows for vdot (Virginia department of transportation. He runs about a hundred trucks from f-350s to quad axial macks. When we go out we are for days, I've been out for a week sleeping here and there. But that guys sets up all his trucks with light bars, strobes in the lights just light u have. He takes real pride in that and he's out there with us the whole time. He was out one night at 3:30 putting a alternater on my 750. But I tell u what after you have been awake for 30+ hours straight there is nothing like seeing those lights after dark coming at you. I've never had a seizure but I gotta tell you I think that is about as close as you'll get to it while knowing what's going on. Any that's nice little set up there. Stay warm in the cold and cool in the warm.

I review this video whenever I want to find more things or accessories that I want on my Kubota. I can't put the LED lollipop lights on because I'm constantly clearing trees and getting into tight spaces. BUT, I'm going to do a review of my tractor and also start putting my gopro on and putting videos up on youtube of my tractor. I want to put the "alley lights" on my tractor so that I can have side lights so that I don't step in cow patties at night. You have been so helpful to me with this video. Thanks.

Looking forward to seeing your video ;) Happy to hear this video has been helpful to you. Cheers

@Eric Butler Thanks Eric. I like your suggestion but man there's not much room in these tractors for wiring or switches. That was one of the biggest issues I had with the lighting part of the mods. I went the way I did because it was the only way I could find the space for a clean non cluttered install. These lights won't be on all together and some won't be used much at all but it is nice to have the option to use them if I need them. Thanks for your comments and your sub :)

The lights and mods are incredible. I love the park break indicators. A little nod towards a special car named "Kit" I think :) The factory lights are irrelevant next to the new light bars. I bet it's a pleasure to use now. It must be nice to look at all your ideas and craftsmanship take shape into a very practical work of art. The mods look like they were factory engineered. Well done Dad.

I absolutely understand and agree with your comment about not detailing every LED... I was just interested in the white floods at the front and rear. To make a long story short, I've wasted a lot of money trying to find a set that bright and only ending up with lots of expensive paperweights. Seeing yours restored my faith in LEDs... Not trying to make as impressive a units as yours is - just trying to see as much as possible at night. Thanks!

Man, I know there are a ton of comments below stating the same thing, but this is one of the nicest tractor built I've seen. I hope to move up to the L Grand with cab maybe in a year or so. Right now I have the L3200 HST Kubota. It's my first tractor and I just love it. We don't get your kind of snow here in the NC but the A/C would be nice in the summer, not to mention the cab keeping yellow jackets off me. lol. I have ordered a front 24" LED light bar as well as the 20" amber flashing warning lights for the rear. I have those LED light bars on my Polaris RZR. They turn night into day like you said. Once again, great looking tractor. That is a beauty for sure.

Last evening while at the dinner table I mentioned your tractor modifications to my wife and daughter. My daughter (18 y.o.) asked: “Did he install a phone charger”? Lol. Anyway, it got me thinking. It’s hard to hear your phone while operating the tractor, even if it’s on ‘Vibrate’ and inside your pocket. So, I thought about utilizing your LED parking brake warning light strip (or adding a second one, maybe with green lights), that would be triggered when the phone started ringing. Just letting the imagination juices flow… Robert

Well it's a good idea. I can charge the phone via my DC USB charger and my sound system has Bluetooth so hearing the phone isn't an issue. It answers automatically and I just talk into the mic. Hey Ken glad you enjoyed the video. Congrats on the new 5740. Man your going to love that machine. I put the air ride seat video back up as well. Been doing some editing on all my photos and videos. It caused a Hugh fuss but It had to be done. If you have any questions just post them on the related video and I'll try and help. Good luck with that new beauty ;)

The heated mirrors are on my to-do list. The Canadian Grand L cab models come with a high output alternator but that being said,Yes there's a lot of lights on the machine but each light has it's place and all of the lights aren't on the the same time. For example. If I'm working on the highway I'll only use the OEM tractor lights and the large LED light bars are off.If I'm on a parking lot then the OEM lights are off and the LED's are on.I intended it that way ;)

You mentioned the 'air ride seat' where is that seat available? Do you happen to know if I could use that seat on a Kuboda B7100? Thanks for you attention to my questions.

Hey Paul. Love your tractor videos. I just bought a Grand L 4060 with the cab. I plan to install a light bar and rear amber flashers like you have on your cab. My question is how do you run power up to that area in the cab? Is there already unused accessory wire in the roof of the cab that I can tie in my light bar? I have rocker switches I'm going to use. I just wondered how you ran all those accessories to the roof. What's the easiest way to get access to that area? Does the head liner drop down for access to this area? Did you drill a hole in the roof to install the light bar power cord? Thanks again for your help.

I am looking at your mounts for the front and rear LED 20 inch light bars. Do you have the interest to make a setup for my B2650 HSDC TLB? I purchased two 20" and four 2" LED floodlights with wiring kits. I would think the cab for the Kubota Grand L 5740 is bigger as I measured roughly 43.75 bend to bend. I had two "L" brackets that I clamped between the lolly pop light and cab and measured across. Did I see a brace in your video between the front and rear light brackets? Thanks.. Earl

Paul I enjoyed this video so much. Love your new tractor and all the mods you have made to it. I've got the same problem with my parking brake on my B2650. I'm surprised I've any brakes left on it. I'm racking my brain on how to gear up a switch some how on it but no luck so far. Maybe you could show how you did it on yours on an upcoming video you will. All the Best....

I had the parents of a young fellow contact me about the light bar on vehicle we had. The rapid strobing pattern on the light bar would trigger a seizure. We made sure to turn the lights off when we drove by his residence. We were not sure if it was the intensity of the lights or the pattern but we felt off was the safest option when he was around.

Yup they're all code. Been using them for two years like that. As for the lights. Please don't assume I have all the lights on all the time because I don't. When traveling the top front OEM lights are on and the rear top LED flashing light bar is on. When off the streets and highways the only lights used is the LED lightbars.

HAHAHA! Thank you Sir for putting on the videos. :) I have not watch you one yet about why you do not care for Kioti but we have been a Kubota family for years and our 5740 has been nothing but problems. We just ordered a Kioti RX7320. We checked out the new 7060 Kubota and everyone we looked at (brand new on the lot) had issues with paint or the plastics or something. We did a lot of research and I could not find anything bad about the upper end Kioti stuff so we will give her a try. Thank you again for your video!

+grobinson8 I have to say I'm very surprised about issues with the Kubota 40 series tractor especially the 5740. I've owned the 4240 and the 5740 and they've been great. I will say you did th right thing not getting into the newer 60 series. I'm not a fan of that series. As for my thoughts on the Kioti. We'll take a look at this video I did back in March of this year and let me know what you think. It sent shock waves throughout the tractor world ;) kzread.info/dash/bejne/gnmntNyenZawoag.html

I really like the modifications to the tractor and the implements. You must be an engineering genius and have materials readily available. I especially like the lights, I can never get to much lighting. One thing I would have to watch carefully is the position of the new LED lights on top, where I work there are sometimes low hanging limbs that could damage them. Great video and narration.

Gerald Skaggs Thanks Gerald.Glad you liked the mods. Don't know about being a genius but I do enjoy improving on things. This tractor is really only used for our snow clearing needs but it do get used sparingly at times in the summer to move a little fill for our back property so it don't get involved with any limbs so I don't have any worry's in that area;) Thanks for watching and commenting. Great hearing from you.
