I really wish you wouldn't show places like this on social media. This is a primary reason why Hawaii has been overrun by tourists. Social media and people's "need to show" has really negatively impacted life for local people in Hawaii.
Another wonderful video. We came close to walking there but didn't go any further. Now we know what is over there. Thanks.
Lived between Manilla camp and Ranch camp on Molokai next to the road that goes to the hospital. Good times and people. Then moved to Nanawalle in Puna(Big Island) for many years. Miss the camping, spearfishing and fresh exotic fruit😔. Someday I will return👍

Luke, Mahalo. Your videos are lovely and they are better with your kind, thoughtful narration and live camera discussions. I live in DC now but loved Hawaii since a toddler. Your videos take me back to many places and explore others as new. I am grateful.

This was a gorgeous walk. The beautiful water and all the different trees to see. Is the fish pond fresh or salt water? I don't understand why something so beautiful would be filled in and covered with buildings. Thank you for such a stunning walk . I will be watching this video again 👍💞 Mahalo 🙋

Mary-Anne Swanson thank you! These ponds are salt water buidling in to the ocean with rocks. The Hawaiians of old used to lure the small fish in to the pond through a gate at the opening of the pond and they would come in through small gaps in the wall. They would feed the fish and when the fish got bigger they could not escape. Anyways, they would breed the fish and make more and it was a natural way of breeding/farming fish. They still maintain the bigger Moli'i one. Thanks for watching! Aloha =)
Thanks so much for another great video. What time of day did you go?

I probably need some advice for Chinaman’s hat. I wanted to say Luke On my third day In hawaii, my brother, my uncle and I wanted to swim across to Chinaman’s hat when it’s low tide i don’t mind swimming or swim walk but we can’t damage the coral. I feel like that’s our only way of going to Chinasmans hat is swimming or swim walk :(

Isaac chavez if you do go during low tide and do you have some kind board you can paddle out with or kayak or body board, surf board? Kualoa Ranch has a kayak tour that will take you there if you don't mind paying for that. Hope all is well! Thanks for watching! Aloha =)

is there any predator on the island that can kill a mongoose

Daniel Lensch not really, aside from man. We don't anything to control the mongoose. I've never heard of them trying to capture or get rid of the mongoose and aside from stealing your lunch off the beach if you are picnicking I've never heard of anyone getting attacked by one. I once had a bag of burgers and fries at that beach and left it on the beach with our things which was close to the trees and we went swimming. We came back to find a whole in the brown bag and a missing burger and been bit up. So we dumped it all =( Thanks for watching and good question! Aloha =)
