Kuala Lumpur | Malaysia
Hey everyone! Welcome to our South East Asia Series! For our first episode we travelled to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
We flew from Sydney, Australia to Kuala Lumpur to travel round Malaysias beautiful capital city.
After landing in Kuala Lumpur International Airport we jumped in our pre-booked accommodation shuttle bus to our apartment. Once we had checked in and had a look around we got an early night ready for a day of exploring.
For our first full day we explored KL city. We started by catching the rapid KL monorail into the city where we explored KL Tower, with a great 360 degree view of the city. KLCC park where we had a great spot to check out the Pertronas Twin Towers.
Our second day took us to Thean Hou Temple, a Chinese Hindu temple that was beautifully decorated and offered great views of the city.
The Genting Highlands were a fantastic place to spend our third day where we checked out the Skytropolis indoor theme park. We had loads of fun trying out unique rollercoasters, ferris wheels and a load of spinning rides. The drive through the Genting Highlands was also an incredible experience to finish off the day.
During our fourth day we caught the KTM Komuter to the Batu Caves. The 272 step hike past the 42.7 meter statue of Lord Murugan up the colourful steps was well worth it for the stunning caves at the top.
For our final day we enjoyed the apartment complex’s facilities, relaxing by the pool, training in the gym and playing table football and pool.

@@beckiandgeorge In the early 1800s, settlers of ethnic Mandailing decent made the confluence of the rivers Klang River and Gombak River as their settlement and referred it as Muara Bustak. Later, the collonial British changed the name to Kuala Lumpur.

Batu caves is not a very clean place unfortunately. Careful of monkeys
