Kuala Lumpur | Hari Raya Eid Mubarak Festival

Come explore Plaza Dataran Merdeka, Dataran Underground, and the energetic KL Hari Raya Festival with me! Coordinated by the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau, it was a day I won't soon forget ... with so much food I'm not even sure I captured it all!
This festival was an exciting way to launch their new e-Magazine, HELLO KL and you'll soon see that Malaysians know how to throw a launch party (DO sign up for it, the link is below). Each month they'll share what's hot and happening in the city, and the KL Tourism Board has just added a ton of wonderful things to do to have fun day or night ... and walk away knowing so much more about the city. From free DAILY guided heritage walks to helicopter tours and nature trails! I learned that and more when having a fabulous time today dancing and eating my little heart out at the KL Hari Raya Eid Mubarak Festival 2016.
The highlights for me were a wonderful speech about unity and the beauty of diversity from the Honourable Mayor Datuk Seri Hj. Mhd. Amin Nordin bin Abd. Aziz - AND - the wonderful Malay, Chinese, and Indian dances. Celebrity Chef Wan was even there to help open the festival!

This is why Malaysia is Truly Asia because only in Malaysia all races are invited for the open house and enjoy themselves during the celebration like Hari Raya Puasa, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas, Gawai and Keamatan (Borneo)

Just stumbled on this old videos of your during the movement control order in Malaysia, staying at home exploring the world through youtube 😂. And seems no one is answering this question, here is the fact: Kuala Lumpur held the title of the world's tallest flagpole for over 20 years, from when they erected their flag in 1957 until 1980 at 328 feet. Current record holder if I am not mistaken is a flag pole in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia standing at 560 feet and KL flag pole still in the top 10 list of the world's tallest flag pole, tallest in South East Asia.

cooking in the bamboo is a very old tradition. Long before the Malaysian being introduced to any kind of pots and pans. In certain states there are also fish and vegetables being cooked in the bamboo.
