WOW to waste a whole lifetime and holding on to what could of have been. There is deep resentment and regret in her story, I like to say that making the best out of the situation is the key to your own happiness. Think of it as what if you would of married the man you loved, do you think that could of been the best outcome for you? After your fate changed, you lived your whole life around a memory or a wish that did not happen and kept yourself from happiness. That is self torture, it is too late now it seems but for the rest of your remaining life, I hope you are able to find some happiness and what are you looking for.

This story is a great reminder that though my parent was very stricted and old fashioned they didn't forced any of my siblings and I to marry just anyone. This, I'm very fortunate, but my sympathy goes out to those who was married by forced.
