OneWheelDrive.Net tests KTMs maddest off-road option, the 98hp, 70ft-lb of torque, 950 Super Enduro R. Yes, a bike that has stepped over the line.
Жүктеу.....

"If you want sane and gentle, buy a KLR" Brilliant! I had to laugh because I'm tired of sane and gentle (i.e. my KLR) and am getting the 950 R. Great review. Thanks

I own this bike. It is NOT a pretender. An expert rider can jump it on a motocross track then blast down a freeway at a sustained 100MPH. Its heavy compared to a dirt bike, so to ride it like a dirt bike you need to be either taller than 6FT or able to stand up all the time. Do not think of it as a niche bike. It can do just about anything you want. The only limitation is the fuel capacity. Just carry extra fuel, such as 1 gallon jugs strapped at each passenger peg position.

What suit from alpinestars is it that you're wearing in this video?

@Supernumerary 100% with you on the extra fuel! But they are a few good aftermarket tank options too.

I believe the SE stands for Sanity Eliminator. The original Karoo rear tire lasted 560 miles on mine, just long enough to get to the 600 mile service. I'm afraid to count how many sets of D908RRs and Scorpions I've gone through in the 8,000 miles since then. You need to get your feet a bit more wet off-road a-la my "Fenceline" video :)

Over all I prefer something a little smaller and lighter. Personally I own a KTM 640 Adventure, which I hope to replace with a 690 when it comes out.

Jus't keep it off the bitumen - it's FCKING TERRIBLE on blacktop. If you want power, and you want to put it on the black and the brown, get the BMW. This thing is a big dirt bike, sure, but it's NOT a dual sport.
