Don’t like the way the piece that runs east to west doesn’t allow the foot to spread.
Hi ergasia PT! I have been trying out your taping technique for a few weeks, and I have been doing my usual activities, running swimming, I even a half marathon + 10km more on the same day. I think from what I have experienced that your taping technique does provide mechanical stress relief. It does need to be put on just right or it can be too painful (I am a more severe case than usual MN) and it's hard by myself. I have tried days taping alternative feet to experiment if pain results with and without the tape during activities ( I have two defined neuromas - one per side) and I have been using it without the extra band going across and under. I have been able to swim and run with less muscular tension and stress, it obviously doesn't resolve the typical 'nerve pain' but it does give my feet muscles less epileptic/spasm type problems that result from having neuropathy. I would put up a photo of my taped feet but I can't. The tape is great and lasts for about a week even when showering and swimming on the daily. Thank you for this video you have helped improve my quality of life, having peripheral neuropathy and moretons neuroma this severe can make life pretty poor. I might look into dry needling like you recommended when I can afford some better medical type care. Eventually the surgical removal is my goal. I hope this gives some insight to other MN people who have severe pain issues.
I'd be very interested to know how you believe this taping technique works at a tissue stress mechanical level
I felt like a teenager, up untila year ago 56th birthday. It all changed, cllagen production stopped, aches I never had before, MPORTANS NEUROMA, bad skin blemishes, UGGGG!
Thanks for the video. How do I tape for Morton's Neuroma between the 2nd & 3rd + 3rd & 4th as I have the neuroma in both locations on the same foot.
my phone is spying on me! how did he know that my leg hurts like that? wt....
How do you tape for pain between 3 and 4th toe?
What does the purple tape do?
Thank you so much for this video. I am totally sold on the tape since my PT helped with my trigger finger. I'm 49 and in the last year have had both of these conditions arise. Much appreciated.
Would this work for pain in the joint of the toe? Like If I had a stress fracture along the 2nd and 3rd toe joints?
Finally some relief. It was a little difficult doing it myself but i got it done. Make sure you don’t cut your triangles too big. I made that mistake 2x lol. Oh also make sure the area is clean and dry. I used a alcohol wipe to make sure I didn’t have any moisturizer on my foot.
Wow, this is amazing, a little over a year ago I broke my second metatarsal at work, a blunt trauma due to tripping over exposed cables. I was in an air-boot for 8 weeks and then I discovered my toe wouldn’t straighten out and I had a huge bump under the ball of my foot 🤦♀️ I’ll be honest with Covid going on, I opted out of PT, and they wanted to send me an hour away for special inserts which I ended up getting Covid and canceled. Beyond frustrated that I had to work with light duty throughout and in pain, I wasn’t feeling it. I am now looking for work at home because my job was management and required a lot of walking which I liked but now I’m laying in bed, foot elevated and throbbing and burning underneath where that bump is. I will try this method and hopefully find some relief. Thank you for sharing.
The skin between our toes are very delicate and soft and having such super sticky tape stuck between the toes does it not irritate the skin as taping is usually done for many, many months? Last thing I need is yet another problem to fix.
Rogene, pick the area that hurts the worst and tape. It's so rare to have TWO defined neuromas but tape the worst one. There is also an app on here for great toe. I'd suggest taping great toe and neuroma to decompress the nerve from more than one angle.
Wow I like the idea of this. I have two severe MN (one each foot) and aside from running I also get pain from swimming, so taping this way basically lifts the muscle off of the nerve and preventing aggravation? I am going to try it honestly and see how it goes in the water. I have rocktape I hope that is the same stuff. I can't find any health pofessionals who actually have any experience in successful treatment/management. I would like the operation but I can't afford it for a while. the day I can afford the operation will be a joyful day for me. I have experienced the neuropathic pains from MN since I was about 7 years old.
I think I may have a neuroma (it feels like a stone bruise but while running, I can feel the pain shoot into my second toe next to the big one). While I haven't had too much pain lately, last night's 12 mile run, I felt it bad in my right foot. I do have hammer toes on both feet. I was wondering, would you suggest that I use the method above to help alleviate pain on my metatarsals? More importantly, if I do tape my feet, can I run on them this weekend in a half marathon trail race or will it be too bothersome for running and is only for recovery? Thanks so much.
Does reflexology will help ? As I have such an uncomfortable feeling on my foot and I believed that it is also MORTON NEOROMA, BUT I am on my foot almost more than 10 hrs every day, and I always dreamed of having a reflexology to help the blood flow after almost being on my feet for long hrs every day
Would this work for foot pain /peripheral neuropathy
does the pain have to be in ball of foot? most of mine is actually in the second toe, but usually only occurs when running longer milage.
Je voudrais savoir comment agit ce bandage sur la douleur puisque à la pose il n y a pas d extensions du pied .c est juste posé comme un simple panssement
