Great video!! I have had erbs palsey since birth in my right arm. I still have limited mobility and still cannot raise my arm over my head and would like to. I'm 21 now, do you think if I continue doing exercises i could bring more functionality to my arm?

I'm not a doctor. But hear me out... Every single day... And I mean every single day... Work at it... If doctors tell you it's impossible... Just know it's not... How many times you heard people say that they'll never walk again... And through brute effort miraculously after time The first step is taken... Think of this... Every cell in your body gets replaced every couple years... most of the brain, neurons, and parts of the heart however do not get replaced and are the same cells you've had since birth.. that being said, if you work to correct any deformities over time... The tension that contorts should slowly be released... Think of people that use corsets... Or foot binding... It is possible to chance physical properties of the body over time... Just have faith and keep at it, everyday.

I'm 33 years old and have had erbs palsy since birth. I love to work out. Does this help with working out?

I was born with a birth defect called erb's palsy.. the doctor pulled me out by my left arm causing me nerve damage my whole life for 35 years. my arm is a little underdeveloped and a little shorter nd weaker than my other arm but I can still do things with it but not like my right arm and I can't turn my palm over and I can't live my arm fully over my head because of this birth defect I will never have a girlfriend or wife or kids because no woman will ever want a man with a birth defect..ever! people look at me like I'm a freak everybody makes me feel so bad about myself even tried committing suicide I hate life because of what the doctor did today when he delivered me I don't know how to cope with this after all these years the pain I have suffered and when I was a child no doctor wanted to operate on it and the doctor that delivered me couldn't be sued because he had so much backup protecting him so my whole life I have suffered I'm trying to lift weight to make it stronger but it's not working I'm just so tired being a loser because of bus my life ended before I was even born bothering me more and more everyday for the past 35 years..

Hey Emmett , I've never ever commented on KZread comments but I really need to comment on yours. I'm suffering from erb's palsy just like you and I need to tell that I used o think like you when I was younger. I'm 29 now and looking back at my past. I regret putting myself in that state of negativity which prevented me from unleashing the monster Inside. Brother you have to make piece with the situation and fix some of the believes that you have in order to make the best life you can for yourself. Please try to understand that staying in that state of negativity will not get you anywhere. I used to blame the doctor when i was young but not anymore because I know the truth today , which is my mother was in danger in delivery and that happened to rescue my mother which I'm glad they did. If you want to talk more about this I'm here and I promise you your life will bee much much better If you start being positive in a lot of aspects even the physical ones. I have many sports achievements in football and tennis which you might anticipate to be impossible because of our hands situations. Your future wife will love you even if you don't have hands. eventually we all will find our partner and your hand is much better that no hand and still we see people with no hands get married with even hot chicks why you ask??? because of karizma . these people develop themselves to their potential and so must you. keep your head high. Focus on developing yourself and life will get better I promise.

I have suffered so long with this and as I gotten older because made me feel more worse until now. Thank you for your reply and for being compassionate I really do appreciate that.

@@EmmettLBrown2015 No worries . WE are all in this bro. Don't ever let that negativity get in your way again and it's never too late to change your mentality. I've never chatted with anybody about my medical condition especially the ones who suffer the same. and I'm not by any means the perfect guy who will give you advice but I know how it felt to be in that situation (When i was young) and I don't like to see anyone on that because I'm 100% it will make you be less active generally (especially socially and physically) I'm sorry I'm pouring my heart in here but that 's because I didn't talk about these things before. I finally found this video again. I remember someone complaining about his life in the comments on this exact video, that i watched like half a year ago, and it bothered me. Dont blame ur sad life on your arm man. I have the same defect in my left arm also, pretty much the same as you, and my life is fine, because i don't complain. To top it off i just happen to be slightly underweight and short which doesn't help the appearance of my left arm, but it is what it is. People are literally being born without whole limbs and u want to complain about not being able to lift your arm above your head? That is weak my man. Im only 18 but i do have a girlfriend which knows about my arm and is not at all bothered by it. Not once in my life have i thought about this as something i wanted to commit suicide over. It's all about confidence brother. We are all in it together. Also its not even close to being too late just because you are 35 if that is what you think. Keep fighting, stop whining. That is the way to a successful life in my opinion. Im only 18 though, so take it with a grain of salt. But I'm serious, stop
