KSS 280! KONE N MiniSpace high-speed elevators in Andheri West, Mumbai, MH
September 5, 2021 - What a very lucky day to have unexpectedly seen and filmed my VERY EVER FIRST KONE KSS 280!! I absolutely love these fixtures so much. Those fixtures are common for modern KONE in Europe. Also, this is the only KSS fixture available in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania ( apart from KSS 800 for Polaris Destination Dispatch ). Also, it's awesome that it serves 23 floors! Now, that's a record! But definitely, they're not at all MonoSpace MRL. They are MiniSpace. This MiniSpace model according to KONE India's website is N MiniSpace. N MiniSpace and N MonoSpace are the only models of KONE India to use KSS 280 while the rest don't. These are probably the best KONE elevators I have ever ridden!! They travel at 1.75 m/s ( 350 ft/min ) for 23 floors which is not bad as there's no need to rush in residential buildings. At some point, it's a bit slow.

KSS 280, YAY! Finally we found European fixtures on KONE elevators in India like the KONE N MiniSpace and N MonoSpace instead of Asian fixtures on the rest of the KONE elevators, one of the best KONE elevators ever ridden in India!

Very nice! Amazing to see high-rise KSS 280. They are becoming more common especially in residential buildings in Finland. KONE is of course the most common elevator manufacturer in Finland and we have also the oldest KONE elevators. Even though we have only few buildings which reach the height of these you have filmed.

That's good to hear and fun fact, I used to watch videos of old KONE from 1920s to 1980s, including M-series. This was an unexpected moment in my elevator filming. This is because, in India, KDS is the main fixture signalisation. KSS 280 and KSS 800 are the only KSS available in India.

@@NeilPrasad_1905 Nice! I know that KDS is the main fixture signalisation in Asia and there are some exceptions with KSS fixtures which belong to European elevators in most cases. That was really nice find!

@@ShashankArv Nice! I have also visited UAE and I know that they have both European and Asian elevator fixtures. Australia, New Zealand and also Russia have both European and Asian elevator fixtures too.

@@NeilPrasad_1905 I saw a picture of it on reddit. I saw it years ago, unfortunately. I remembered the post was something about the floor numbering of the lift, showing a KSS 280 with US style. I think DieselDucy might have a video on it, he's from the US.

@@AaronTechnic I do know that KSS 280 buttons have another version, they have full illuminating white buttons with number and brailles next to it. But i'm not sure if that makes it ADA compliant.
This is a bit taller as compared with the ones in "Gedung Melintir" in Surabaya, which travels around 20 floors.
