I like to look at accidents like, u shame them until they show noticable change. Lets use Logan Paul in this example, we remember what he did in the forest, but here we are now, hes a changed man, hes become far better than he used to be. We shamed him for doing it, and we should praise him for having changed. But i dont expect a CCer to understand that. They hate on people for doing bad things like years ago, but as soon as that person takes the right actions to become a better person, theyre scrambling to find a way to ignore their efforts and continue on like that person never changed.

I understand this point of view but if you think about it on a broader perspective, such as with racism, it leads to a tipping point where these small 'cuts' eventually break someone. I know there used to be a time where these words didn't mean much but in today age it is understood that on a deeper level, if it is a constant attack it can really affect an individual.

Sorry but keemstar disrespected an innocent dead person and used pictures from his funeral (which his family have spoke out against MANY times) as well as using serious problems in the korean music industry as a “diss” against kpop stans, i would hardly call that “nothing”. People are rightfully upset about keemstar’s actions.

I used to get into fights with kids in elementary school all the time because of them Calling me names. My grandfather always told me, “Words don’t hurt u. The only thing that hurts is if someone puts a finger on u”. I wish kids nowadays were taught this as well

I was taught that by my dad as well. Personally, I find it funny when people insult me, I have heard most of it before. I just laugh my head off. This world just baffles me.

Most K-pop fans aren't sending death threats, most of them are disappointed at the photos of Jonghyun because they where from a private funeral and bring up bad memories of his death and they where disappointed on why he was mentioning suicide and eating disorders in a diss track too K-pop stans and not the idols themselves. Most of the fans are just regular fans there are ones that where sending death threats we call those Sasaengs and stans (Sometimes even the more extreme solo stans) and try to get there accounts banned because there too obsessed with the private life of the idols and try too do very very bad things too them like attempted kidnapping, I would like to apologise on behalf of anyone who has offended you in the kpop community we are disappointed at those people too they need too stop it's disgusting behaviour .

It’s crazy how powerful cancel culture is. Someone can say one word, just one word that they don’t like and that person could lose everything in a matter of days. A person with money will be fine, but a regular person will suffer the consequences.

@@dantemitsoyu977 yea true. I think the sensitivity started after COVID changed everyone’s life because people were frustrated with new changes of how they had to live and work. Police injustices and more reasons people grew more sympathy for others and are now so protective of emotions.

As a kid I used to be a huge crybaby and my parents would tell me to take it in from one ear and take it out from the other, and now when life's pretty depressing, the negativity around me doesn't affect me at all. Parents should really teach their kids to control their emotions better cuz that makes a huge difference in their lives.

The sticks and stones thing can ring true for you if that works. However for some people words do hurt! We just need to keep having discussions and be nice to people.

actually when you think about it, didn't keemstar create cancel culture. drama channels used to only be able to function off very minor mistakes of other youtubers and make the situation bigger than needed. the only reason why our generation gets offended easily is because as children we watched KZread all the time to hear that our heroes made a little mistake or to hear drama channels just bash their content for not working hard enough. KZread used to be about supporting each other but now its a battle field and twitter as a weapon.
