Krui Surf Camp, Southern Sumatra, Indoesnia
A quick tour around the camp before showcasing both the local set-ups as well as some of the regions other waves. Krui surf camp is the longest serving camp in the region. Although its not a boutique high end camp, its clean, comfortable and the service is first class. Daily meals are complimentary and there is no better surf guide than its owner, Zane. Forget the crowds of Bali and taken the journey across to this amazing corner of Sumatra.

planning trip over in the offseason, im guessing March is hit or miss, any experience with trips in march recently that have been good or bad?

Its a roll of the dice. Winds tend to be favorable but you could be unlucky & get some onshores. First real swells of the season tend to roll in at that time, but you'd want to stay for 2 weeks to give yourself the best chance of scoring. March is a good season for the beach breaks though which can turn on.

Hey, I am planing a Trip to Krui during the 4 Werks of december. How many good days of surf do you guys usualy get during this month? How is the rain? Thanks :)

Its hit and miss. It can blow North West for the whole month (onshore at all but 1 spot). Or winds can remain largely good in the mornings with a gradual onshore swing towards noon. Same with the rain. It can really go either way but expect some rain and expect some onshore winds. But its very uncrowded :-)

Hmm, its not "uncrowded" - but lets not compare it Bali. That's not a fair comparison! Its nowhere near as crowded.

@@cameronhannay1740 actually most of the owners there are very involved with the locals. They employ many of course, but more importantly they educate the locals. So much more awareness of pollution/waste/recycling etc, purely thanks to the Westerners. And dont forget, some are married to the locals and have local kids too.
