The first time I saw an orchestra version of Kruhay and it was majestic! To add to that, these are kids playing and they're so talented! Keep it up!

Coincidentally, Kruhay is a greeting term on the Philippine province of Antique, which also known as "Province Where The Mountain Meets The Sea" 😊😊😊

The sound is so fulfilling. It felt like I was listening to a tribe playing it. I've been watching series of choral groups singing this. And each is very epic.

We Filipinos need to embrace and appreciate our culture more. The natives left this for us. Our ancestors. We cannot let something like this vanish. We need to revive what we've lost and almost lost. We are not just a nation colonized by many countries. We are more than this and this one shows it. If we can enjoy the cultures of the other race, let's not forget to look back on ours. Trust me, when you really get into our culture deeply, it will really make you feel better and knowledgeable about the lives of our ancestors and our rich history before the Spaniards came. 7,100+ islands. Let's do better.

just because we have been colonized does not mean we have lost our identiy, the cultures the colonizers brought just merged with us, of course im not saying that is our whole identity, im saying that it is part of it ☮☮☮

Kruhay itself is already epic but to hear an orchestra ver. God im beyond happy and satisfied i mean like more of filipino folksong should be appreciated like this and what an amazing job for those kids to perform so flawlessly! MABUHAY!

Because the music is the story. It tells about Ati tribes welcoming the 10 exiled datu from Borneo.

Today is binirayan festival here in antique which this song created sana maka pag perform kayu dito po sa antique this piece is remind us of who we are as antiquenios.

I remember performing this as part of my school's choir, and it's also one of my favorite pieces. It sounds super majestic when performed by an orchestra. Now I kinda want to combine both the orchestra and the choir for the song hahaha

That's the real use of Kruhay in Binirayan Festival when Ati or Aetas and the Malayans portray the intros....

I would say that this is pure Filipino World Class Performance❤️

Think of this song 'Kruhay' (means 'Long-live') from folk-tale to a Capella. Now turn to Orchestra. Kudos to Mr. Jeffrey Solares who arranged 'Kruhay' to Orchestra and he was also the conductor of MSJO of this competition.

It is actually a friendship song between the Ati Tribe of Panay and the Bornean Datus. Kruhay means longlive like mabuhay in Tagalog

Well it tells the migration of the Burneyan peoples to Panay island and them buying the land from the native Ati people. So imagine the kingdom of Panai in modern day Indonesia being ransacked by the new emerging empire in the region, the nobles, monks and slaves escapes through balangay boats traversing the monsoon infested South China sea until they reached the shores of the land they will later name Panay, after their kingdom of origin.
