    As per AAC-India, AAC blocks have an estimated life of almost 100 years. So for residential houses, which are designed for a span of 50 to 80 years, AAC blocks will last up to the designed life of the structure.

  • @er.mayankgangwar
    @er.mayankgangwar2 жыл бұрын

    Advantages- 1) being light weight, ACC bricks can be used for the construction of high rise buildings as it will reduce the dead weight on the structural members and thus it will further reduce the cost of construction. 2) construction will become easier and faster. 3) do not absorb water very quickly. So it will protect the walls from getting silan in rainy weather. Thus less maintenance is required for inner walls and Ultimately it will help you save some additional money. Disadvantages- 1) as a unit ACC brick wall is less elastic than the conventional brick wall, so it could be a big issue in case the construction has to be done in an earthquake prone area. 2) ACC bricks can easily drilled or cut by normal tools, so safety could be a concern. 3) More research should be carried out on the use of ACC brick walls in different types of buildings and in different seismic zones to ensure its safe usage.

    Not true, in many western and European countries they just use wood because for strong housing pillars are important and the weight of walls are on pillar and bottom frame which is made by using iron rods and cement mixture, when the walls are light the weight on pillars are less which makes the structure even more stronger and walls dont have to be so strong

    AAC blocks are widely being used for construction in UAE. There are world class facilities producing AAC block. These blocks are very good in terms of light weight construction, heat resistant properties, more progress of work and comparatively better prices. The only thing that need to be considered that the AAC blockwall cutting for MEP conduit should be done with utmost care using special tool to eliminate the chances of cracks and there must be 15-20mm gap between wall top / soffit of slab & beam to eliminate the chances of moment cracks. These blocks are highly recommended!

    @@parthakashyap28 that is just a misconception.. Nothing more.. The strength of the walls are increased by placing any brick side by side(parallel to each other, not side ways). Inside walls re mostly constructed by single brick walls.. Outer walls are done by two brick walls.. For such two brick scenarios we get diff width sized block bricks..

    Please please please don't use aa blocks in your house building or apartment. I have done the biggest mistake of my life by using aac blocks. The wall of aac block cracks from everywhere. Approx 4 to 5 cracks in every wall.

    I am really sorry for your loss, its really painful to see your efforts go in vain like that. Let me start from cracks. The reason this happens is because the finish of the wall is smooth and when you plaster the same it barely gets any pores to hold on to. Secondly coming back to the masonry done, i am sure you did not think of putting lintel at 1 meter height masonry and door/window tops. I am not going towards the foundation because I know that wouldn't be compromised. I don't mean to rub salt on your wounds but sometimes we have to make sure with the newer solution are we following right engineering. To resolve the cracks their is on hectic process that you have to follow. You need to scrape off the cement plaster and put metal net on the wall, then on top of it plaster it back.

    @@junaiddar2586 Sir, I had done plaster by gypsum base P.O.P. not cemented plaster and I had used net at each needful point. I had also put lintels at every 1 mtr of height. All the block work had been done in the supervision of Ambuja AAC Block engineers. After that there are cracks in each wall. It's my request to all viewers don't spoil your money and time by using this nonsense AAC Block. If anyone need any help in this matter, can directly call me.

    Any or every type of brick can be cut or will get cut during construction. Because the edges of the walls might get half or quarter portion brick to fit into the space left... If you want stronger walls use two bricks of any material side by side.. Most of them use single bricks for inside walls.. Thats the only difference..it is Not a cheap way nor a cost cutting way nor a unsafe way to use any kinda brick..
