I agree. Check out crown princess Victoria of Sweden's wedding. Sweden royal family is another fave of mine as well as the prince & princess of Wales!

I've watched different clips of their wedding throughout the years but I always come to this one conclusion: what a pretty lady and what a handsome gentleman! I love her dress, by the way. (The Dutch royals should take a lesson or two or three in frugality from the Norwegians!)

No. In Sweden Denmark and Britain and America wedding rings are worn on the left hand-- In Norway, France , Germany and Austria they are worn on the right hand. In Germany the bridegroom and bride -to-be give each other wedding ring when they get engaged. Their rings are carried into church on a silver tray , and are put on their right hands during the wedding ceremony.

Once more do love conquer in the royal family of Norway :D

When they wave it looks like they are cleaning a window.

Nothing particularly Norwegian about it, it's just a bouquet that's a little unusual.

A bouquet made of a wire base, greenery and orchids. It was a trend at the time, not typically Norwegian, but a style in floristry. It requires a lot of skill and patience.

No, the normal thing in Scandinavia is that the couple walks in together. The royal weddings in Sweden had a compromise, the king walked halfway and the groom met in the middle.

@@pettergusten It is possible that this is typical not only in Norway - also in our country until now, the groom led the bride down the aisle of the church to the altar. There is also such a tradition in the Orthodox Church - the groom waits for the bride on the church porch or in the vestibule and then leads her to the altar. It is only recently that the American manner is introduced, seen in the movies 🙂, that the bride is led down the aisle by her father.

If you mean the bouquet Mette- Marit wanted it like that way. It was her wish. The flower stylist wasn't too happy about it. Mette - Marit was cooperating on this work from Day 1.

@@lindakristinekjrlibraten5759: As a florist I love that she had her personality reflected in her bouquet. I got an other florist to make mine as I didn't want to stress about it between hair/make-up/dress and all that, but was very particular about the flowers and how the placement should be. Used my all time favourite blooms. In Mette-Marit's case the wire base is a great solution as orchids don't have long stems. I have seen better execution at shows, but it is about personal choices and taste at the end of the day.
