Different drinks definitely affect people in different ways, though. I'm a pretty heavy drinker and don't get bad hangovers, but a not-too-much amount of shochu makes me feel like my was hit head on by a truck in the morning, even though I drink sake just fine and they're relatively similar drinks.

Indeed. Drinking beer is a form of weakness. I either drink things like water or tea, or 40+%. Alcohol that's between 0 and 39% isn't alcohol for me.

In the next episode of "Drinking with Kronii": Kronii throws up all over the place because she had too much of stronger drinks.

I've scrolled past this video in my recommended about 5 times and each time I think the bottle in the thumbnail is a pregnancy test

Vodka as we know it today was created in Russian Empire in late 19th century. Everything that was before it nowadays named as polugar, bimber or palinka and a bunch local names for not-so-moonshine.

The first time I had vodka it was just a little bit mixed with a glass of orange juice, I didn't taste it at all. The first time I tried it straight was right after I tried a shot of tequila for the first time and I had a strong impression of the vodka just not tasting like anything in comparison. It wasn't until I tried some more expensive vodka that I felt like I even tasted anything from it, I'm pretty sure the whole point of cheaper vodkas is that the taste is as neutral as possible so that it can be disguised by other flavors in a mixed drink.

Poland was the first country I traveled & stayed at outside North America (excluding Hawaii), n my experience was actually pretty fun n enjoyable. Wish I could go back for longer than the 1 year I was there lol.

My suggestion is to make some nice food if you want to drink heavy, like we do in Poland. So you don't start really getting hammered with empty stomach. Make some salad using potatoes and mayo and combination of veg/meat, some platter of either cheese(I prefer cheese for wine, not wódka) or meat, some preserved foods, like pickled cucumber or onion, some chips to snack or herring sticks. Just have a variety on the table and make sure you eat some. After that, try to keep going with shots. I prefer my wódka at least cooled, but you can also put it into freezer. If you make some hot food, you will get that hot into cold or cold into hot feeling. We also just drink sometimes like savages, but once we age, we learn to just not do that, it's not nice the next day. If you're not an experienced drinker, don't try to keep up with Slavic people, you will die ;)

as my grandfather used to say: "Only cheap garbage gives you hangovers! The real stuff will only bring you happiness and a sense of bliss." I must say, this has been proved true throughout my life! It's not that Kronii is made for strong stuff, it's just that she has never drunk the real deal like that Vodka she was given in Poland.

Sprit alcohol is more pure than beer, so I can believe it's easier to drink for Kronii. Vodka is better as part of a mixer IMHO as it's too strong otherwise.
