I like this book because it is not so many busy designs as the first two books, like painterly days . I hope you do one like this with only single flowers or designs. I enjoy watching you Paint .

Kristy, just wanted to say that my wonderful kids got me 2 of your painterly days books for mother's day (flowers and woodlands) and you are so right about taking time to do a page, I have taken a week to do 1 page and then I did another in just a few hours. I guess it just depends on how much time you want to put into it. Either way I am just a beginner and I am loving these books.

I just purchased one of your Painterly Days books today, and was so delighted to read some of your tips and suggestions. The other thing I was delighted to notice was how you acknowledge your faith in God in your dedication. As a Christian myself, it brought a smile to my face knowing that I am helping to support not only a fellow artist, but a sister in the Lord. I am looking forward to bringing color to the pages. I noticed your mixing trays to the right of your work. Is that ceramic? I heard that ceramic is better than plastic because you can get the stains out of the mixing bowls better than plastic. is this true? Just curious. ;-)

Yes they are ceramic, easy cleaning.

Yes it definitely is :) It is a hot press or smooth finish watercolor paper :)

Im new at watercolor, I thought I was doing something wrong because , I’d rather have more colors and not Mix so many. Why would all these companies make so many colors if you should just mix your colors?

Welcome to Watercolor! Every artist is different.

Hi Kristy - please be aware that, depending on the paint brand and color, many watercolor paints are toxic. While we all manage to get paint on our hands occasionally, and should always carefully wash hands after painting, you really should not be encouraging people to dip their fingers into the paint throughout the process. I am a watercolor painter, and just recently heard of you and of adult coloring books in general; this is the first video I have watched in this genre. Just concerned for your safety, and of others who may not be aware of this.

Thanks so much for letting me know. Goodness honestly I don't ever think much about it...I don't ever dip my fingers in any of the pure pigments I'm creating from dry pigment as those are notoriously toxic. Student brands however and many of the fine art brands aren't much of a concerns unless you are ingesting them...but just the same I appreciate the advice!
