+Татьяна Дождева Yes, it would be suited to both. I think it is possible that it could become an Olympic sport but the name would have to be changed before it would ever be considered. I don't know about other countries but here most people associate pole dancing with strippers, hookers and sleazy bars--not the beauty, agility & gracefulness that it really it....do you think it could become an Olympic sport someday?

Ima Speck sorry to burst your bubble but it really is for erotic dancing. It started as that and still is, however over time in some cases it is used in a non erotic situations. “During the 1920s, dancers introduced pole by sensually gyrating on the wooden tent poles to attract crowds.” Pulled directly from online. It is associated with strippers...because that’s how it started and that’s how it still is.

You don't have to be able to do what the person you judge can. You don't have to be able to paint like Picasso to judge his works in depth. You probably need a deep understanding of painting techniques and art history though to completely understand the value and quality of his works. Which most people probably don't have (but judges here for example should have). But even if you don't have those qualities you will still have an opinion on whether or not you like a painting/performance/whatever. And if you don't voice your opinion like the biggest douchebag in history that's totally fine.

Not sure I would equate female dancers with submission. The vast majority of female pole dancers I’ve seen are warriors - powerful and gutsy - no submissive vibes at all. This dancer had a less fluid and flexible style than female dancers do, which gave a more masculine vibe - but being graceful doesn’t equal submissiveness. In any case, I really like that he stayed masculine. It’s very rare. All the other male pole dancers a I’ve seen have had a very effeminate style.
