She did a great job portraying Jean Seberg in this film. It was a very thought-provoking story. I also did not know Jean’s backstory, I only knew her from “Breathless.”

I love her interviews more than the movies, maybe cause I want to understand what she feels and how she feels. What kind of person she is. Still, in some roles I get the real feeling, I guess. In other roles, that's smth else. I mean there some of her roles, that express her real-self more than in other movies. If there is such thing as a 'real-self'. Still, I believe there is. A set of our patterns and intentions. My fav roles are in personal shopper, Lizzie, camp x ray. Here, she seems so concentrated, looking straight forward. So natural, not pretending to be someone else, but herself. I'd like to talk to her one day. About stuff. Not about movies. Not like she is a famous actress, but just as with a person.

Aside from her politics, she is more talented actress than most in her generation and I will watch just about anything with her (Charlie's Angels is not one of her best films sadly).

As usual KS crushes another role. She is one of Hollywood's most talented actresses right now. I admire and enjoy the different types of films she pickes to work on. She is underrated as far as awards go, however she is clearly the type of actress who is not in it for accolades or awards which is another reason I really enjoy her work.

Wow...there are a lot of angry, judgey people here making comments! If you don't like her or how she looks, why even bother taking the time to watch and comment? I admire her for all the growing up she's done and recovering from all the hate and backlash from her Twilight days. I was forced to go see that movie and for the longest time I resented her (and thought I didn't like her) simply because of that time and circumstance in my own life. But the last couple of years, she has been doing some very interesting work and coming into her own...and I admire that. Also, I think she is a beautiful person and lovely soul! I want to see this movie and also Charlie's Angels.

I saw this movie today and she was fantastic. I remember seeing Jean Seberg in movies and I thought Stewart really captured her.

This is not a commentary on KS in the role. Tho indeed, as she articulated, the film/performance was not 'addicted to detail'. That's an understatement. Many who knew Jean and work to ensure the truth of her legacy think the Spirit of Jean would better have been portrayed, and an understanding of her enduring massive influence enhanced, had the filmmakers or cast spent any effort/time either- in visiting M'town, reviewing the great cache of memorabilia and personal effects kept in the JS collection here, or, at the very least, reaching out to her remaining family members. Not to mention her friends. Those interested in learning, I was going to say 'more', but more accurately 'SOME' of the details of Jean's life that made her who she was/is, might enjoy the documentary film 'Jean Seberg: Actress Activist Icon', produced by Fourth Wall Films and McMarr, Ltd. Fourth Wall Films has a FB page and more information can be found there about their film, which was recently selected for the Raindance Film Festival in London. Again, should anyone read this through, this is not a commentary on the performance of Ms. Stewart in the role. Fin.

Been following Kristen since I was a little kid and grew up watching all her movies. There was something so special about her even then. It’s been amazing to grow up with her and watch her come into her own. She is by far the most talented actress in her generation. Love her so much.

Kristen has such a pure heart and is rare gem in Hollywood. I love her complexity, depth, how interesting she is and absolutely authentic and original. You see so many ,,artist'' nowadays being full of themselves through glory and fame (or acting like they aren't but you feel they are faking it), or just being absolutely average; in behaving, in dressing ,in trying to fit in, trying to have attention etc. without any sense of uniqueness or the ,,x factor''. Kristen is truly special and different on so many levels. :)

Winda Tan I didn't like _Charlie's Angels_ myself (I was too in love with the Drew Barrymore films, LOL!) but I would encourage everyone to check out *_Underwater_* because Ms. Stewart is fantastic in that - real stripped down, physical performance.

Suicide. They found her in her car parked on a street in Paris. She was covered in a blanket and had been dead for a bit. Her last years were hard. You Must Remember This podcast did a well-researched series on her.

I would say yes; in interviews, she tends to like, ramble, and like, use the word "like" a lot, and her chain-smoking is taking a toll on her voice. I think vaping can help with that.

Was in LA on business staying on the Sunset Strip. Was having a smoke street side before going in when I noticed this couple down at the next street light making out. The guy was wearing a baseball cap, t-shirt and jeans. The gal was dressed to the tens and looked like a real beauty. The guy now is cupping a breast and grabbing some tush when I thought these two really need a room. Just as I thought that the guy grabs her hand and start walking right towards me. As they turn to go into the hotel the "guy" looks right at me. It was Kristen Stewart.

@@vanilla5245 I've seen previews. Obviously I'm a huge Jean Seberg fan as one can see from my avatar. Jean studied dance. She moved in a certain graceful, particular way. Kristen Stewart is not an actor you see in a movie and think, "they really were that character. I can't imagine them in any other role." JS talked in a very particular way. I've read biographies written about her. She had big problems with alcohol, mood swings, impulses and was sometimes delusional later in her short life, French film is also about ticket sales too even though they make a lot of interesting films. France- where they worship Jerry Lewis and Mickey Rourke.

if i were to make a jean seberg biopic film, it's titled "Bonjour Tristesse" Less focus on her political battle with the FBI, but on the inner emotional drama she fought in her loves, in her life. The actress who would play her, should have the aura of femininity and vulnerability, and that is not Kristin Stewart. Look, out of 6M budget, the film, made only, over 600,000 T, in the box office.

Gah she looks rough. Even the professional make up artists can't cover those huge dark circles under her eyes. Too many late nights. I suspect she's going to like France a little bit less since Chanel cut her loose. I think Karl was the whole reason she had a job there and now that he's gone, she is, too. No more cosmetics ads and fashion shows. That's probably for the best since she always looked awkward in their boxy clothes. "Always been really up front"??? Who is she kidding? She was in the closet for most of her life. She's ducked and dodged giving a straight answer forever. Her career is on life support, her last 4 films were massive flops, she lost $65 million for Disney in Underwater and $55 million for Sony in Charlie's Angels. She's box office poison, none of her films since the TWi franchise ended has shown a profit. She doesn't have an Oscar, Golden Globe, SAG award and she can't even get a nom from the Independent Spirit awards, even though she's supposed to be the indie darling. lmao. She looks like she reeks unless Chanel has hosed her down and spent $5,000 on professional hair and make up artists. She can't get cast by a great director, she's doing little micro-budget indies and films that have no distributors. If I wanted to be jealous of someone it wouldn't be her. I'm only happy for Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan--her competition who are killing it. Jealousy is not ever an issue for me.
