I can. I have a fear of being watched. I was a college, then professional, baseball player. Worst position for said fear: Pitcher. Walking TO the mound was the hardest part. I felt like 1000's of eyes ripping me up. Walking off was not as bad (I ran off) but you could still feel it. Pitching itself, you lock into one face in the crowd, during some moments. You can't look into your own dugout or god forbid, the opponents. They'll rip you apart. To block the voices, you lock into the 3rd baseman's voice. You have to ask him to repeat your nickname (we all have one) LOUD and it blocks out the world. You then lock into the 4 corners (The Catcher's knees and shoulders) and look for the spot you want to throw the ball. Once in the wind-up, it's locked in brain, dead silence and muscle memory. Like a car accident. Slow motion silence. If you think, you're done. That's why some people stop catching passes, throwing strikes or missing putts. They start thinking. I did have a horrible senior year of HS. Almost cost me my scholarship. Kept me from getting drafted. But I fixed it. I went and threw 1000 pitches against a fence and pretended 1000 people were watching. I heard a voice at a game close by and came up with the 3rd baseman idea. Worked.

I agree. Even she was told not to hold hands with her girlfriend in public so that she doesn't close some doors for herself in the film industry. It is still brave to do so in hollywood, it is full of homophobic and shitty people. What I find quite controversial is the fact that I think she said it just because they wrote it into her monologue, because it would be really a statement, but she actually said on several occasions after this moment that she is actually fluid and doesn't really want to put a label on herself, so Idk what to think about this public "come out"...
