DrMattDestruction Yes, that´s all I am saying: People keep wondering why this guy behaved that way - I am saying it´s because he thought she was being an ignorant asshole. She should deal with such situations more professionally. I just looked up when she dropped the Popcorn-award - that was *SIX* years ago, and she acted pretty much as nervous, cramped and "girly-clueless" as she did here in this video. I think if you make that much money and get to talk on stage every now and then, you should invest the time in some professional training. Autohypnosis helps, meditation helps, and I guess learning to connect with one´s audience might help, also. However, from seeing the two videos, it appears as if Kristen Stewart does none of those - and maybe does´t care? Whatever.

Why is people making drama out of the fact that she told the man to please put the award on the table?? She was so nervous that her hands were sweaty and shaking and she was scared of dropping the award to the floor as she once did at the MTV Movie Awards. Can't understand why she's being criticized for that?

Rhonda Bierer It's a performance movie. Just one after the other from all the actors involved. But the standouts are Binoche and Stewart who go toe-to-toe in scene after scene. It's one of those movies where you don't know if the characters are acting dialogue (Binoche's character is preparing for a role) or arguing. It's brilliantly done.

she's probably the realest person in the world. i felt more comfortable with not being good at public speaking because of kristen. i get super nervous like her whenever i need to speak infront of a group of people. at those moments i just wanna dig a hole and hide myself. id always feel this lump in the throat and as hard as i try no words will come out and i kinda just stand there with people staring at me. imagine speaking infront of all these people without even knowing french, guys! shes also a human being who happen to be talented and beautiful

Some of the comments on this are absolutely ridiculous. She's shocked that she won, and then visibly shaking as she walks to the stage. She says her hands are shaking and THAT is why she asked him to put the award down. She didn't want to drop it (she does this at every awards show because she HAS dropped and award before and it was traumatizing for her). And good for her for trying to speak French at the FRENCH Oscars. People are way too hard on this girl. If you've seen the movie, or even read any of the reviews for it, Kristen was phenomenal in it. All the critics agree. Not one critic had a bad thing to say about her performance. So please, stop trying to find things to nitpick about this girl.

From my (very far) vantage point .. Kristen is a girly girl in her own way. She doesn't try to be anyway but the way she is .. probably never lifted a heavy object that her brothers would lift for her. That is just how some girls are ... ha ha .. I think she was shocked and really truly humbled by winning this award after all the 'hate' people post so many negatives. Pooey, I say, I made my own mistakes that haunt me all the time .. nothing to do about them now but move on .. and I believe she is trying. I think she is a fantastic actress.

It's actually quite touching how nervous and emotional she is I think. I don't believe Joey Starr is intentionally trying to be a jerk either (he even helped her at the end of her little French introductory sentence). He likes to wind people up and mess with them, and he is also a little bit mental, but that's really just his character... either way, I thought she was excellent in this film, and I had never really paid attention to her beforehand. Well deserved.

It was very rude of him to slam the award but I guess he took it as she was being rude too so it's just a misunderstanding. I remember when she dropped her MTV movie award a few years so ago so she was probably trying to avoid that from happening again haha. Ugh this pains me, she has a heightened sense of self awareness that I'm sure nobody could understand since they can't relate to someone who is so self-aware like that, society is definitely lacking in any self reflection, that man especially. I don't know who he is neither am I interested in his career, but he lacks so much consideration and self-awareness, and we actually praise that as being confident and self-assured? No, it's arrogance pure and simple. He was completely ungracious, she wasn't being rude, she was unsure of herself and it's about fucking time we stop attributing sensitive self-aware well meaning people as being rude or weak. Strength is facing your fear despite criticism and backlash, despite the pit stomach feeling in you that you will fail, and prevailing like a fucking master. That's what Kristen did and I applaud her courage, so please try to have just a quarter of the self-awareness that she does, it doesn't make you weak it makes you a beautiful feeling person, and an amazing award winning actress.
