Kristaps Porzingis' 30 points sets the record for most points in a regular season Celtics debut, passing:
Dominique Wilkins (25 points - 11/4/1994 vs NY)
The Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks, 108-104. Jayson Tatum led the way with 34 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics, while Kristaps Porzingis added 30 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks and 5 3pt. FG in the victory. RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley tallied 24 points each for the Knicks. The Celtics improve to 1-0 on the season, while the Knicks fall to 0-1.

    Thats the thing that people were sleeping on with porzingis. He got drafted to the Knicks when they were at their bottom, did well before suffering a terrible injury, went to the Mavs then the wizards where he started to get over the injury but no one noticed because its the wizards. His best season of his career by far was last year and he's 27 let the man cook.

    @@rihardsvitolins well the main problem for Mavs is lack of good coach. The players are great in Mavs - they have LD as well as Maxi Kleber, Dwight Powel, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Seth Curry. But they failed to have a good coach like Popovič or ... Luka Banki.

    Porzingia defense works when he can roam free guarding the paint, not markin man, especially not markin a more traditional post big man. It will interesting if he goes against a bigger post big man like joker or even embiid

    Good to see him being tough and aggressive. In Dallas he did a lot of pouting around the 3pt line. I don't think he was happy here. When he remembers that he's 7'3", he can do a lot of damage at the rim on both ends of the court. Happy for him.

    @@darnellwilliams8783 talking about Dončič and Porziņģis there were no problem. The problem in Mavs lied in useless Carlisle and a guy named Kid. These both have made obsolete game plan concerning on one talented player (LD) and putting other one (KP) somewhere out of the game.
