Kristan Hawkins vs VCU Pro-Aborts Round 2 | Q+A at Virginia Commonwealth University

Earlier this year, Kristan Hawkins' tour stop at VCU was abruptly interrupted by Antifa, to the point ‪@KristanHawkinsSFLA‬ wasn’t even able to give her speech. A month later we were able to return to VCU, and this time, the school did their job to make sure that our peaceful, pro-life event was able to proceed.
So, here is your friendly reminder to keep fighting the good fight!
Pro-Life Speech IS Free Speech… and we will never be silent until abortion is abolished!

I used to be VERY pro-choice until I became pregnant and saw my 10 week sour patch looking fetus jumping and what it looked like dancing. I cried so much. At that moment I realize that I can’t control nor I owned that tiny body. My job as a pregnant woman is to protect it at least until it arrives to this world. After that, there are plenty of choices like ADOPTION. I will never support abortion again.

girl in yellow arguing that she literally had no value when she was in the womb is so sad. We wonder why suicide rate is up, they literally talk themselves into not valuing their own existence while also screaming to be accepted in their delusional states of made of genders. I get my value from the fellowship I have with those in my church, by what God's standard saying he knew me before I was even created, and through serving others in my community. These people are so lost and spiritually dead that it's heart breaking.

@@hexl702too5How are you reading any of that into her comments? All children deserve a chance to live. The circumstances of their conception are not any fault of their own. Whether or not that child is wanted by its parents, it has inherent value. Your life does not become less valuable when another person doesn’t want you. Every person in the world could reject you and it wouldn’t diminish the inherent value of your life. The same goes for all people, whether the child is a zygote or embryo or fetus or infant or toddler or teenager or the adult is young, middle aged, or elderly. Being unwanted does not make a person unimportant and lacking in value. That is the entire point of pro-life.

The issue with some of the pro-life stance is the lack of abortion access available to rape/ incest survivors. Hell, some states don’t even provide exceptions to people whose lives are at risk from giving birth. When someone’s choice to consent is already stolen, it shouldn’t be stolen again. “We looked at 22 states where strict new abortion laws are, or are about to be, enforced. Of those 22 states, 15 offer no exceptions for rape, incest, or both. Those states are Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia and Wisconsin.” I’ve looked up a few of those states individually. They had no exception for rape/ incest. In some cases, like TN, there wasn’t even an exception for people who were at risk of death from giving birth. “15 states with new or impending abortion limits have no exceptions for rape, incest” from the Poynter organization. This page includes a diagram of states not including exceptions for rape/ incest. “Most Abortion Bans Include Exceptions. In Practice, Few Are Granted.” By Amy Schoenfeld Walker. I agree abortion shouldn’t be used as an alternative for birth control. But it should be an option for those that never consented to sex or could die from the pregnancy.

By her reasoning, someone isn't human because they're not conscious or because they don't have brain function, which we know is absolutely false. You don't become inhuman based on all of these ridiculous scenarios.

I was pro-abortion my whole life UNTIL I watched a Kristin video 2 years ago. I just happened to see it pop-up on my suggested videos and i clicked (only God knows why) and of course i was ready to be super angry and annoyed by this "pro-life nazi"....and then i had my entire worldview shattered. Kristin completely dismantled my long held beliefs piece by piece and did so methodically and with grace, patience, and genuine passion. Her arguments were so strong and sound, and backed by facts/science in a way that i had never heard before (because, lets be real, the liberal propaganda machine is powerful) and i remember finishing that video in tears. And i sat there wondering-- what else have i been completely lied to about all my life? And today, after a 2 year journey, i am a loud and proud conservative! Because it is the ONLY way to bring our country and society to a sane, healthy, balanced, caring, strong, patriotic, moral, loving, hardworking, fair, and blessed place! God bless 🇺🇸 and we must continue the fight to make a major cultural change, or we will lose all of our youth to the hyper-radical social justice warrior rainbow mafia.

I got pregnant after I turned 17 and I wasn’t at all in a great position to have a baby let alone afford a baby, my family doesn’t have a lot of money and I didn’t have any money but I got tons of help from churches and other communities before I gave birth and even after the fact, I have the most beautiful son that is 5 months and everyone loves him he doesn’t suffer at all and their are many people to make sure that doesn’t happen I would also like to say I did not have a great childhood at all, even when I was 17 I was still going through very hard struggles and not the greatest situations, but once I found out that I was to become a mother all of the cares and worries about myself went away and I knew I could take care of my child and give them the life I never had, and make sure they are never talked to, abused, or in any violent situations like I was put in since I was a little girl. Having my baby has cured my unhappiness and made me more happy then I’ve been my whole life and I struggled very hard with depression and many other issues, not the case for everyone but that’s my story

My goodness, the moment I saw the pregnant test was positive was also the moment that I started to become so careful for myself because I had this tiny baby inside me that was relying and depending from me to take care of him/her. My husband and I thought of a name right away for a baby boy or girl's name. We were so excited for that 1st heart beat.

Two things. When I was pro choice I used to think that abortion should be legal because some women, no matter what, will find a way to get one. But then I realized that this thinking is the same as, “you might as well make it legal for people to drink and drive because there will always be someone drinking and driving. I immediately debunked that statement with my own logic. The second thing is that it took me a long time to realize that I want to have children. I thought, “the world is overpopulated, there is suffering, there is so much cruelty, so why bring a child into this chaotic world?” But then I realized that in order to change the world that we live in, we ourselves and our future generations are the ones who will need to take a stand to end all injustices. Otherwise, we will complain and do absolutely nothing about it. I now also know that we don’t have an over population issue. I’m proud of people like Kristen who take a stand for what they believe in.

Absolutely. My Mom lost a baby to a miscarriage, and I never had the chance to mourn my little brother. I gave him a name, Iacopo ( = James). Sibling Bereavement Syndrome is a thing. Maybe it's due to different life experiences, but these girls who say "Eh, it's not conscious, woh cares" have probably never felt the connection with a sibling in the womb, and the sudden severing of it. And if they have felt it, they are sociopaths along with their mother, sorry but I have no other word for it. Same for Yellow Tee's reasoning "I was not conscious, I would not care if I had been aborted". Yeah, and all the lives she has impacted positively? Oh wait, probably none, with that attitude. I was seven, I knew what was going on. Today, several religious groups organize funerals for aborted babies, spontaneously or otherwise. Iacopo did not have that chance, but he lives forever in my heart and beyond.

I am glad my mom had me and all I could say is if abuse is the issue then make it easier for kids to stand up and tell someone that'd happening. I felt dumped here and there just so I'm gotten rid of and forgot about. But I'm glad to be alive. I was taken from my parents because a divorce caused my mother not to be able to afford feeding us and someone reported it to child services. I am who I am today because of what I went through. But making it easier to speak up and it being investagated to make sure it's not a cry out or lies could help prevent abuse in most situations.

@@Taylor_mamaof2I'm guessing that most people abuse weed and just use anxiety and morning sickness as an excuse, but it really can help with some things in moderation. I avoided edibles because it's hard to find the right dose. Fortunately, I never had real morning sickness. But my grandmother died towards the end of my first trimester of my first pregnancy. I used a vaporiser and only took a small puff on the rare occasion that everything was just too much. She was the most important person in my life other than my grandfather. In the last months of each pregnancy, I'd get some weird maddening feeling in my legs when I'd go to bed at night. Often yoga would help enough that I could sleep, but sometimes the only thing that helped was cannabis. But I never used more than a small puff at a time. As my understanding of life has progressively evolved, I’m now starting to become more pro life. These videos always teach me something new, and I love it! And I’m thankful for it. I think the most important thing I learned that really shifted my mindset, was that abortion clinics have gained so much popularity because some women don’t want to take responsibility for their careless actions. When adults want to do a consensual adult thing together, they need to be willing to accept the adult consequences, and not get frequent flyer miles to their nearest clinic or pharmacy.

I am a nurse and I used to be pro choice. I just turned 27 and I’ve realized I can’t be on that side anymore. If they won’t let me participate in the death penalty then why would I be comfortable with abortion? It isn’t even a Christian issue. It’s logic.

I am so glad to have heard Kristin speak about ectopic pregnancy. I have endometriosis and I have scar tissue on at least one of my fallopian tubes from having to have an ovarian cyst removed from it. Ectopic pregnancy is something that I struggle deeply with fear of. Not because abortion proponents have convinced me that I would be denied medical care, but because of the guilt and confliction I imagine myself having if faced with the choice to have that pregnancy removed or to likely die or sustain more permanent trauma to my body when it eventually caused my tube and arteries to rupture. I also imagine it would be a more emotionally painful experience than a regular miscarriage when I think about preparing to go into the operating room knowing that when I woke up my baby would be gone. Ectopic pregnancy feels like it has become an issue that is solely brought up as a clinically detached rhetorical tool to be hurled in debates about abortion or to scare women who would never have an elective abortion into thinking abortion bans threaten our lives. It helps to hear it spoken about with compassion and grace for the people who go through it, and honestly with common sense. Kristin is exactly right that the removal of an ectopic pregnancy is in line with spontaneous abortion (aka miscarriage), not with the intentional killing of an embryo or fetus that is compatible with life.

I have had 3 "spontaneous abortions" and I was absolutely horrified that they considered my miscarriage and 2 ectopic pregnancies as that. I wanted my children and hate that is the term they use in my medical records.

Hold up! Have they always classified miscarriages as abortions? That doesn't make any sense..... Miscarriage is accidental, sometimes their is nothing you could of done to prevent it (or is there?) And an abortion is pre-meditated.... ... I'm shook right now,..

Missed or spontaneous abortion is the proper medical term for a pregnancy that ends in the death of the baby. Elective abortion is choosing the death of the baby. Abortion comes from the Latin word abortionem… most of our medical terms come from root Latin words.

@Izzyb70217 Thanks for that, I googled it and found that 'abortion' comes from 'aboriri' or 'abortio', which translates to miscarry. But the modern definition of abortion specifies "intent." Spontaneous intent...🤭 so with the modern definition, it's an oxymoron, but the original definition it makes sense.

She fails to mention, men get Women pregnant and if Men would Respect and Protect women at all times there would only be a consensual pregnancy and no need for Abortion! But then she would have to get a real job! Only GOD has the power over life and death since death Is the pathway to Eternal Life. But you can explain that to GOD when he calls you along with the faithful!

But that doesn't mean the own mother, who gives up their body and their blood, to not have a choice in their body anymore. If we can't force a person to give up their blood/organs to save another person (body autonomy), how is this any different than a mother giving their blood to the baby? Should the mother be able to choose whether or not they give these? Doesn't choice matter?

Thank God for the work you do Kristan. 🙌🏻 I applaud you for being able to stand and explain things rationally to so many misguided people. I hope that you can change so many more minds and we need more people like you out there. I would tell all these people that they should research the spark of life. Even scientists will agree that at the moment of conception there is life. It's really that simple. Every one of these people arguing that consciousness determines value or when you should be allowed to live is sad. No person has the right to take the life of another human. When a woman becomes pregnant she is carrying a completely separate human being & she doesn't have the right to kill that human being. Just like I don't have the right to go out and kill someone on the street. What's truly sad to me though is that these women choose to end the life of their own child. I was 17 years old when I got pregnant & I was scared to death but I knew from the beginning that my baby, my child, the alive separate human being in my womb, deserved to be born. It was a hard path but we made it & I wouldn't change it for anything. All these arguments about you won't be able to finish school, lies. Arguments about you won't be able to have a successful career, lies. I finished school, I have a career, & I believe it all comes down to the strength of the woman. We are stronger than we know and are absolutely capable of achieving our goals and dreams with a child in tow. Being told anything different is a lie. There are sooooo many programs out there to help you if you find yourself in a situation where you are pregnant. I would also like to point out that you have no obligation to parent that child. The argument about children ending up in foster care doesn't have anything to do with their right to life. People can rise from adversity or suffering but you won't know that if you don't even give them the chance to live. I bet the majority of the children in foster care are still happy they were born and given the chance to be here. I hope that many more minds will change and decide to fight on the right side of history and appreciate the sanctity of human life. Every child deserves the right to live. It's really that simple.
