i like to headcanon that kris is grateful for us actually (outside snowgrave, obviously) its wholesome to think they didnt like it at first but come to enjoy having someone "help" them make decisions, to "help" them make friends and make great memories together i think eventually in like chapter 6 we'll end up transferring to the vessel we made, and kris would actually be kinda upset; maybe even result in fighting "why would they rip the soul out then if they like it?" its simple, distance. even with a best friend, u have moments apart from them and u *need* some alone time every once in a while for it to be a health(ish) relationship; so kris ripping the soul out lets them have some alone time, like when they ate the entire pie in chapter 1 ...i guess my best explanation for the chapter 2 cutscene was so they could have another reason for the player to keep playing and helping them have fun/make memories?

This is legitimately one of the best Kris themes on the internet. Not some dramatic battle theme, but the sad melody of a lost child. Keep up the good work!

Always love “Don’t Forget” Whenever I do with Kris, it feels like their saying “Don’t Forget Me. I’m still here.” And this fits beautifully with that.

I imagine this theme would play when Kris sacrifices themself to save the world, or when characters are standing next to their grave

I like this a lot I hope we can explain to Kris that we were thrown into this position just like they were I can imagine something like this happening one the pacifist/neutral route as we finally make peace with Kris I only did the pacifist route in Deltarune I never want to repeat my mistakes in Undertale ever

tbh in the early days of me getting into deltarune, i didn't think much about kris as a character, i thought it was nice that they protected susie against the king after everything she did to them, but that's about it. they definitely weren't in my favorites. but when chapter 2 came out and we got a better idea of kris' true self from noelle's dialogue, and i caught on to the stuff about the soul controlling them, and them being their own person and not a mere vessel, they became my favorite character in the whole game. even though we haven't heard kris talk yet, i'm so attached to them and find their story really engaging. i feel horrible that we have to control them to see the end of this story because being in their situation must be terrifying. i so badly want to really get to know them and tell them we're sorry and we mean well. and i really really hope they get a happy ending. kris and their story are the biggest reasons i'm looking forward to rest of this game.

Kris has the potential to be one of the most interesting characters in the story. The idea of a lone human in a world of monsters, apparently able to take away their own soul to gain freedom. Not to mention their past and relationship with "the man behind the tree" is still a mystery.

I'm not sure if I already commented this video, but I need to say this: This song is inspiring. It touches souls. I feel like this is everything Kris is going through; their family dysfuction, their body being controlled, their loneliness (despite having their family's love)... They are talking their feelings through this song. Besides, I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but I hear a whistling wind in the background (tell me I'm not crazy plz xD) It gives more a sentimental feeling about loneliness, but at the same time, kind of a shelter... In summary, I love this xD ❤

Dont know why but I love his character. yet he doesnt speak at all. Something about him that just makes him my favorite for some reason. Cant wait to see what Toby does next.

I still dont understand what Kris wants. Of cource he is trying to take in control his own body, but what else? Does he like to kill everyone in Dark world? Does he like then we spare everyone? Was he just a normal kid before we took control? At least he liked to play on piano :3

This makes me wonder what kind of ending toby is planning at the end. I am sure we all will be in all tears. He did that in Undertale and This is his dream game. I cannot even imagine how impactful it would be.

"Beautiful" is the only word I can think of to describe this amazing piece of music. I can only congratulate you for making something of such beauty. As a music lover and Deltarune fan myself, this song has reached me in an unique way words cannot describe. Thank you so much for this.

This is one of the most normal and deep songs I have ever seen to kris's own theme. I will be interested to see if there will be an official kris theme soon in Deltarune

Very rarely do I think fanmade UT/DT tracks truly captures the overall feel of what these games are going for, but this song is one of those few that I think really "gets" what it is. It's not so over the top and bombastic nor is it "beginner sounding" and mediocre, it really does sound like something Toby would put in Deltarune somewhere. And to that, I say good job my man 💪.

Very good track. Your usage of leitmotif is an impressive tie-in with other fitting tracks, while maintaining a unique air for Kris as a character. I really dig this atmosphere. I will keep this one close at hand :>

i HAVE A THEORY: In chapters 2 finale, in snowgrave route, i think that Kris wanted to "break" the soul, not make a dark world. Probably because of what we made him do. Just imagine, being controlled to manipulate your old friend into killing everyone in another world that you know isnt fake and then having to live with the guilt of not being able to do anything for it and the fear of others get to know what happen and hate YOU for doing it. In the normal route, i think that Kris DID want to create another dark world, why? To be with Ralsei, Susie and even talk with Lancer for some seconds (before he turns into stone). To be in a cool adventure with your friends where he isnt "Ralsei´s brother" but to be Kris. I also theorise that Kris feels ignored because of his brother popularity, mostly because everyone knows him as Asriel´s brother and everytime he talks with someone, they talk about Asriel, for example, Toriel. (Also, Toriel probably ACTUALLY doesnt know a lot about him, for example, of him liking to play the piano.)
