Kris Markovich Skateboarding 2022

Спорт

Kris Markovich sits down with us to talk about how he got his skate groove back, and what life at 50 looks like for the multi-hyphenate legend. (We still have several pairs of T-Bags, btw. Excellent pants.)

The "One Step Beyond" Markovich part was a huge inspiration for me during my skating days, I would watch that part on repeat and then hit the park and local spots, so glad he is doing well and hopped on the board again 👍

The OG speed demon ( before Busenitz took the crown) still skates gnarly and is a strong man, so he can skate till he can walk. There is no discussion about that. Alcohol can make you sore, but if you dont stop skateboarding, you can continue as long as you want. Kris is sick and his part with Mean man song in it was the first part that got me pumped. Super sick!

Met Markovich at an Adio demo when I was 11 just a couple hours after being released from the hospital after ripping my finger off. He asked me what happened to my hand and I was still so drugged up I cant really recall exactly what I said, but he and Danny Montoya instantly ran to the back and grabbed me two decks: a shop board that the whole team signed and a Hollywood board with a get-well message from Kris. Still got them all framed and everything on my office wall 21 years later.
