Hard to believe that this song is over 30 years old…way before fast double bass and blast beats were the norm in metal. Pete Sandoval and Steve Asheim are The Godfathers of extreme drumming.

@@lucyferina Erm Mick Harris was doing blastbeats WAY back in the very early 1980s before it was even a thing with Napalm Death and is credited as the pioneer/inventor of the blastbeat and extreme drumming...besides jazz drummers were doing it way before even him just not in the context of extreme metal.

This is exactly why King Krimh is so damn great. Timing is tight…from the double bass to the fills and back again. You can tell a drummer is for real when they do a cover, but play every note as heard on the album. This guy’s been in some serious bands and still played it as written. That’s a fan of music

Pete is a time traveler and knows how to implement the euphorias, He breaths passion and will always be a huge part of my life’s journey on this planet. 🌎

It's not about the speed, it's the perfect weight of each note, so powerful and precise at the same time. Outstanding job!

I like the fact that you performed the blast beats in this song with one foot instead of your usual two-foot blasts. It’s sign of cover done by a true professional when the drummer alters their comfortable style to emulate the style of the original drummers. Well done!

Pete Sandoval is the most extreme drummer of all times.

Pete Sandoval, the guy who inspired me to pick up the sticks. I think it was in -91 that they visited Sweden and I got to meet them. Now I guess I'll have a MA marathon behind the kit for a week. Awesome cover!

Well done KRIMH! Excelent choice (my fav Morbid Angel record!) and tight playing as always. I love the trademark floor tom accents Pete uses while playing double kick patterns, yours sounds like a Godzilla stomp (great mix by the way).They are for sure a huge influence on Gojira, it's noticeable in their three first records...and that's why I love their old songs.

Dude PETE SANDOVAL is not only the king of the blast beat-- he’s one of the greatest drummers EVER!!!!! I was right in front of Rutan when they came to Pittsburgh in 1995 on the domination tour and they opened up with this song!!!! I’m here to tell you right now-- that was perfect!!!! I know every Morbid Angel song behind the drum kit from every album from the past 35 years-- and before I even have my own band practice with my own band--I play 10 to 15 MORBID ANGEL songs before we play our 15 original songs!!!! You did such an amazing job not only with your playing but with your sound and you played it exactly like Pete!!!! Great job my brother!!! I will pass this on to Trey, ERIK, STEVE AND SCOTTY!!!!! Man over loved this song for almost 20 fucking years now! This album was so underrated, but so where most of the albums that I here up with in the 90s! That double bass riff is so sic it's fuckdunkculous!

Damn! This is one of the best drum covers i have ever seen in my life. Performing this song at this level with that much power in every single beat is INSANE. That fill at 3:25 just blowed my mind. No words man, no words, only congrats.

absolutely SPOT ON with the kicks. not just the accuracy but also the feel of them having some element of groove, rather than someone panicking through them as fast as they can play. deftly executed, chief.

This is WHY VERY FEW BANDS Play Morbid Angel covers !! Morbid Angel, & Cannibal corpse in my opinion are very hard and technical to play LIVE !! This Drummer no doubt has excellent technique but look how tired he got at the End, and that was only one song. He looked beaten, and Grasping for Air at the End ! Pete Sandoval was really a Monster back in the 90's and early parr of 2000 s !!!

Catchiest opening riff in all of death metal. I can't believe I only discovered these guys 5-6 years ago. I was missing out big time. Best vocals ever in death metal, even slightly above my favorite Mr. Akerfeldt just because you can actually understand the lyrics.
