Man I wish I can get one of these one day. But for now my only option to get an EZ Flash Omega. I know it's cheaper but I've already done my research between these two flash carts. Overall, the Everdrive is better than the Ez flash in terms of quality and longevity of the product. Plus, someone in the community did an awesome job measuring the battery consumption between different linds of GBA carts. From the original to bootlegs. In the end, the Everdrive is one to one identical as an original GBA cart. He even made a table for the findings that he got for everyone and I highly recoommend to check it out. And as someone who has a modded GBA screen and wants to play for much longer, this is my obvious choice. Great and in depth review btw!!!

Could you also share a video on where to store the save-files for each game? For example, say I have a save-file of Pokemon Emerald on my original cartridge. I ported it over on to the PC. In which folder on the Ever-drive should I keep it? Do I need to rename it so as to allow Everdrive to load that save-file for the associated game?

Your best bet is to reach out to Krikzz directly. I haven't tried to do that before and I don't want to give you the wrong instructions. Krikzz has good customer service and I'm sure they help you out.

I don't have any experience with Pokemon hacks. I recommend contacting Krikzz directly and asking them. They usually respond within a day or two and are very knowledgeable.

Why run NES off a GBA Everdrive when the core is on OpenFPGA? It’s not ideal on the AP. I’d even prefer to have a separate GB/GBC Everdrive than emulate it on GBA. Enjoyed the video though.

Good point. The idea is to just show that it is possible to do so. I like combining the Krikzz with the Analog Pocket for the GBC and GBC games. Thanks for the view!

cool little thing for sure, but the prices are out of this world, you can get something like the ez flash omega for half the price and it does literally the same thing..... i mean these prices are just.....ridiculous. 200 dollars for an NES sd card reader or one for the n64 as well.... these guys are just straight up trying to rob people lol id suggest anyone whos looking into this sort of thing to really LOOK at the other options available before spending so much money on something that SHOULD NOT cost even half of what they are charging....

I understand your comment about the price, it's not a cheap cartridge. However, I believe in the quality of Krikzz products and their longevity. All of our cartridges work great and I believe they are worth the cost. Thanks for watching the video.

“these guys are straight up trying to rob people” LOL, most people use flash carts to pirate games. Imagine thieves complaining that their thieving isn’t even cheaper. Sure, flash drives do “literally the same thing” as in play ROMs. However, there are several reasons why people pay extra for certain brands. Everdrives, for example, have better performance, build quality, and power consumption. They also have a lower risk of save corruption. EZ Flash isn’t a bad option if price is your main concern. Those who rank other priorities higher and have the extra cash can get Everdrive.

Power draw and stability are NOT the same between all flashcarts on the market. And EZFlash Omega DE gives you Mode B, Save states, and rumble. Everdrive gives you everything else whilst being more stable, less corruptions and a similar power draw to OEM cartridges. The tradeoffs are clear and grow the more you introduce random Krikkz knockoff clones.
