    Thanks for taking the time to comment Fabien. I am continuing to use the back pack almost daily for commuting and longer distance tours and it continues to hold up to the weather, abuse and everything in between. So faults so far. Stay safe mate and keep riding👍🏼

    Great review and nice piece of kit; I try and avoid backpacks preferring to use my top box or panniers, though makes sense for carrying valuables to have something like this, defo going to have to rethink my strategy👍

    Hi Gareth, thanks for taking the time to comment. Since I made that video I think four touring I would go for the 9 ltr version as when I was in Sweden this year I used it primarily as a water bladder carrier and occasionally threw some shopping in the back. That said for commuting the 18 ltr suits me better. You can never win! Either way it is a great product and you cannot go wrong.

    Hello, detailed review. Thank you. I noticed that you are using the 3L bladder with the T18. Are you facing any issues with the bladder as the Kriega website says that the 3L bladder is not compatible with the T18?

  • @GreenString

    @GreenString

    Hi. You make a good point. I’ve just been on their website and it says the following about the trail 18: “A heavy-duty zip access 7-litre rear compartment which is a perfect storage area for a Tool-Roll and water bottle or the optional 3.75L Hydration Reservoir”. As you said I have the 3 Ltr bladder. I then went onto Kriega’s site where they sell hydration packs. The 3.75 Ltr reservoir does not exist! 3 ltr is the biggest they do (on the European web site). I’m guessing it’s an error on their website. Anyway, in response to your comment, yes, the 3 litre bladder works 100 % fine. I’ve used it on multiple occasions. I hope this helps mate. If you have any other questions please ask.👍🏼

    How is it? when you ride 700 miles in a day?

  • @GreenString

    @GreenString

    Hi, personally I’ve never rode 700 miles in a day with the backpack on. The maximum distance I have ridden in one day with it is approximately 650-700Kms. Over that distance, for me at least, it was comfortable with no issues. I’m still using the is product every day since I made this video and it has not let me down once. I hope this helps 🤙🏻🤙🏻

  • @GreenString

    Very good question. I have a Rukka jacket (and trousers) with a removable Goretex liner. Naturally they are 100% waterproof but when camping I find, after a heavy downpour, they feel wet and heavy the next day. Before I went I took some advice from another biker who had done the trip. He said it is a must to take additional waterproofs for over your regular suit. Sure enough it was excellent advice. I fully recommend getting a cheap set of waterproofs for piece of mind. That said I hope you don’t need them! We went in September so obviously it rained a lot.

    @@GreenString saw that. I'm planning July August. Saw you brought you own dry food. Was it cost efficient or just more easy ? (I'll opt for a rain set) Did I hear right your living in Germany but are a Brit ? I'm dutch. thanks for the advice. It's a first for me but a long waited dream

    Well as you will know Norway is very expensive. I guess it’s all a question of your budget. We loved the ability to wild camp and this was a super efficient way to travel. When we had completed our mileage for the day we pulled over, set up tents and cooked our food. We certainly saved a huge amount of money, naturally the down side is extra time spent cooking and cleaning pots etc. You are correct, we are both Brits but both have German wives, so we have settled over here. If you’ve got any more questions please feel free to ask.
