Laserjet619 lol this is what I find weird about artists. Their career depends on vocabulary and they’ve clearly got a gift to spit with word play etc and then you hear many of them in interviews and wonder if they even went to school?! Ok ok, that’s a bit harsh but they’re far from articulate in normal conversation yet their lyrics are next level?! Weird
Yoo!! Swear down Konan's dads the late great Delroy Wilson. My mum grew up and raised me jammin' to them tunes deya, it's crazy how a couple generation later I grew up listening to Konan's music. Small world.
Konan very humble and articulate respect him for that
Genuinely excited for Krept & Konan! I respect their hustle - they seem to have a solid team around them with good intentions (from manager(s), lawyer to record label) and most importantly a voice - to express self-belief and fight for creative freedom. Yet again, NFTR present an insightful interview revealing interesting behind-the-scenes stories which I believe is truly healthy for the scene. A way for the audience to connect and understand the decisions of the artist they are attracted to or supporting. I feel there will always be this struggle especially in this country for UK rap acts shifting units due to the politics in the world of radio, the media to the record labels. In the US we have to take note that it's taken 20years for Hip Hop to become Pop-culture. Take note of the French Hip Hop scene - the French support their own and other nationalities are secondary. There's alot of changes that need to be made here in the UK but the best thing to do is be consistent. It's gradually getting better simply by the efforts of artists such as Roots Manuva, Rodney P, TY to So Solid, Oxide & Neutrino, Dizzee, Wiley, Kano to Tinchy, Chip, Tinie to Wretch that have all contributed to setting the bar, knocking down the doors & paving the way. There's a famous quote from Muhammad Ali that I love and other artists can relate too "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses, behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights." Everyone sees the glory but not many see the hours we all put in to shine 💯

Clement, UK Garage was Pop-culture and that's why So Solid and Oxide & Neutrino reigned supreme during those years before it got darker and the Government put a stop to the scene. Even Grime songs like P's & Q's and Pow! charted in the Top 20 UK Charts during the 00's. Hopefully 'Freak Of The Week' does well in the charts, but it will take ages for UK Rap to become a part of Pop-culture because of where UK Rap comes from.

Loved this interview. Very insightful. I haven't bought an album in years but I respect & understand what they're saying. The only way we can improve the UK scene is to truly support the artist. If you can spend P's Poppin' bottles all night I'm sure you can support the artist you're gettin' wavey to. Respect.

Best Interview So Far! Learnt A Lot From This. Salute To Krept & Konan For The Knowledge They Dropped & The Work They've Been Putting In. I'm Definitely Supporting You Guys Movement. Looking Forward To The Album
1:15:55 "Krepts changed, he's eating his chicken wing with a fork" PMSL
need a interview with Akala / Ms dynamite
Sick interview just what we wanted! Always stuck by Krept and konan and they doing their thing everyone should be 100 percent behind em & respect em both after this but NFTR keep it up this is really good for the scene! Let's get some more big names on here!
Smart move droppin them big tunes (freak of the week, certified etc.) just before the festival season. Due to hit the belly over the summer!
These guys are very likeable and just seem very down to earth. People you would want to hang out with.
Great interview - totally understand the point with yungen, something not expected, is true. You guys definitely see the bigger picture, with making commercial and fan tunes to expand your reach. It's so true major artists make intermittent commercial tunes to blow and come back to fans. Drake, ASAP rocky, Jay z, Nicki Minaj to say the least.
Epic . Big up from Perth Australia !!!
Last 10 minutes you can tell the passion and vision they have for the scene and their music
Best interview yet. The way these 2 haven't come on here to brag or duck any questions is good. Honest guys
Awesome and genuine interview, you guys should release these as a podcasts as well if youre not alredy doing so.
Great Interview .... 2 intelligent people educating the masses!
Another great interview
I love how excited they are!
Such a great interview!
Very happy thanks thanks to you both
Just pre-ordered the album. So much respect for these guys. #FanForLife
Insightful. Good interview
Konan is the spitting image of his dad. Rest in paradise Delroy Wilson...
This was a very engaging interview. Loads of gems on reality were being dropped. I hope everybody's eyes are open.
Yes definitely moving on point again
BUY THE ALBUM, HELP THE ALBUM CHART, THEN WE CAN HAVE SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO LISTEN TO ON THE RADIO AND CHANGE THE SCENE!!!

yh' that look Krept had when he said that statement tells you how real it really is.
This is NFTR's best interview yet. Never really been in to K&K's music and that's not cos I don't rate it, I've just never given it the time really although I did buy one of their projects for the support and really dig some of their tunes but two very great characters. Need to just remember everyone's got an opinion nowadays regardless of how much or how little they know about something and it's a bit of a cliche but not everyone is as real as you. They're not gonna relate to everything you say/do or even understand it but they WILL have an opinion on it and judge you cos of it. Really hope it don't let it affect either of you. I'll be buying the album for support n might even reach a show or something but I hope you guys make it past the music.
Insightful interview, big up krept and konan pure realness
A brilliant insight into the careers of Krept & Konan
Love these guys!!!!!!!

i cant lie, watching this interview i have gained respect for Krept and Konan more so than just the music but as men. wowowo parody came because i feel they and the scene needs a man like me willing to express the lyrical ability of the people of the music scene today. we do have a big challenge but it takes the eradication of ego and the amplifying of appreciation to the craft. hearing that emotional piece about the numbers in the music scene can either be a deter for a new comer but also a boost of creativity for the rest. the money is not on the scene like that. we need to make them want us. world wide supporting people. lets get the links we had before to use and create a dynamic of which shock the world. wow the UK are moving as one. well thats a saying id like the Americans to drop.
Yesssss
At it’s peak ! ☕️🥂
when he talked about his dying friend.....a little tear dropped
kreptandkonanalbum answered all the doubters/haters right there really good interview now people can only judge them after the release of their album
Moral: buy the songs you like and support the artist.

big up krept and konan
Center of the room plus go for the gold with all of the lights !!:))!!:)
good stuff
UK people probably are longer than US artists to work with because out there they actually have money and just have time to work on their career, but urban UK artists actually have to do some sort of other hustle or proper grind the music thing to get a bit of p.

Wretch needs an interview!
Wheres potter paypers interview?
Took lessons in the boro 🌱 been here n there
Theirs a lot of good music out, however people buy into people. They make it so easy to buy into them as they are so transparent, they've taught me more about the insights to the industry than many others before them. Their living proof their is a way, even if it's the long way home.
great video.. however i wouldnt be surprised if there label shuts this video down
Funny looking at em like this. there still heath road man too me! ptk!
The best art 🖼
When it does catch up ⬆️
Simple fact if they want to make it big they need to attract more US features, US has a bigger market for music, more artists and more labels = more opportunities and more places/states to tour in = more revenue when it comes to their music they need to have music for their original fans like devils playground but with some commercial, pop songs for the radios to increase popularity blend the 2 into an album
It's crazy how in twined these 2 out, they don't even talk over each other almost like yin and yang

Interview Skepta Next
you could put any half decent rapper with a label push on freak of the week and it would have gone because of the jeremih hook. i dont mind them doing songs with people like jeremih but still that song should have been better. having jeremih on a hook is like a cheat code, they could have done so much more with that song. its big but it could have been massive
Me vs my boyfriend is old but theirs is new n newer ones everyday annoyed. But I’m happier now
