At the gable of the building, high on the rooftop of Mankeliaitta Granary there was a dinner bell. The happy chiming could be heard far beyond the courtyard, all the way into the rye fields. Today, in the hayfield’s farm there are golfing greens and the former cowshed is now inhabited by hotel guests. Out in the garden you can hear sounds of a theatre, and meetings take place in the old barns. Yet, the daily rhythm has not truly changed in the Krapi homestead.
The dining room’s grand table has been the heart of the Krapi homestead for centuries. These dining moments have always been spent together in the farm. Meals passionately made from clean, local ingredients combined with the shared stories and experiences become genuine encounters from dawn ’til dusk. These feasts that bring everyone together, cherish communality. At Krapi’s dining table everyone has always been and will always be one big family.
