20 Things to do in Kraków, Poland Travel Guide video transcript:
We kicked off this trip to Poland with a visit to Krakow, a city people have been telling us to visit for years and now we know why. Krakow in the summertime was wonderful! We spent our time enjoying castle views from the river side, exploring neighbourhoods covered in street art, eating some of the best pierogie of our lives, and also discovering what we think may be the best ice cream. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Krakow!
Wawel Castle is Krakow's crowning jewel, and for centuries it was the residence of the kings of Poland. You can see a mix of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture all in one place.
While in the city, we also had to walk the Royal Route, which was once the historic coronation path of Polish kings.
After visiting the basilica, we spent a bit of time walking the Main Square, which just so happens to be Europe's largest medieval town square.
And that’s it for our visit to Krakow! We hope this video gave you a few ideas of things to do around the city. If you have any other places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers visiting Krakow feel free to share those.
This is part of our Travel in Poland video series showcasing Polish food, Polish culture, Polish cuisine while visiting Kraków Polska.

I visited Kraków 3 years ago. One day took the double decker bus to see the city . So worthwhile! At some point I notice a line of people that was stretching for more than 2 city blocks ! Wondered what people lined up for? What was so worth waiting for ? It was about 4 pm on a Sunday. People lined up to get ice cream 🍨! YUMMM ❤️🇵🇱😘🍓🥥

I just got back - LOVED IT! 30 Million tourists per year visit Krakow. The Square (biggest in Europe) is rimmed with bars/restaurants and horse drawn carriages - beautiful! English is taught in Poland from Primary school - so language is NOT a problem! Also, the prices are real cheap (if you have a look around). Food-excellent, friendliness- excellent... Im definitely going back !

Great video guys! I've been to Krakow twice and you pretty much covered all the the turistic things to do, however you missed one! When in Krakow or Poland for that matter you MUST visit a "milk bar" its a cafeteria type restaurant that serves what's only on their board just how the used to back in communist Poland. It is also known because the ladies serving the food usually actually often don't smile since they have absolutely no time to waste so you must know what you want if not they'll serve the next person in line. The food is delicious and super cheap!! Its an experience on its own. Lots of love from Allentown PA!

You guys should visit the alpine town of Zakopane some day if you happen to find yourself in the area again, which is about a 2 hours drive from Kraków, on the border with Slovakia and in the Tatra Mountains, hands down my favourite place in Poland especially in the winter with all the Polish highland / Goral wooden architecture. You can book tickets from PolskiBus for as low as 1 zloty (that's about 20 US cents!!) to get from the bus station right below Galeria Krakowska direct to the town of Zakopane. I stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. I visited Poland twice in the past two years, once in November 2015 and again in November 2016, definitely one of my favourite countries in Europe.

Also visit the capital Warsaw if you have the chance. Many people actually give Warsaw a miss but in my opinion Warsaw is larger, more cosmopolitan compared to Krakow and the old town that was rebuilt some 50+ years ago is also quite beautiful. Zlote Tarasy also has better shopping than the shopping centres in Krakow.

Dlatego tam powstało wielkie europejskie miasto i dlatego wszyscy to miasto kochają, nawet wrogowie...
