A Couple of Nomads?
About Us
Well, we are a couple from worlds apart that has chosen Valencia, Spain to be our home base. Vicky is born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, now an American citizen. Josh is an American, well, born and raised in small town, Ohio.
We left our jobs, family and friends and moved to Valencia, Spain in the middle of the pandemic. We decided to that we should also start a KZread channel to show the world that, you can do anything (even if you are getting grey hair), if you think you can! If you want to see how a couple of expats can live the Mediterranean dream, and you want to join us on our journey...then subscribe, we would love to have you as part of our extended family!
Cheers!
Vicky & Josh

Food in Poland is really amazing. Great place for history, sightseeing, food and you didn’t even see the countryside. This country is extremely underrated.
The melody of trumpet is so suddenly cut, in tribute to the trumpeter WHO once got shot with a tatar's Arrow into his throat :)
In Krakow vodka taste in magic way. 🙂

Obwarzanek krakowski is a dough which is then scalded and baked, which dates back to the 13th century. The bagels come from Krakow too. Bagels began to be baked by Jews in the 17th century. In the beginning, bagels were given to women after a successful childbirth. Bagels emigrated to the USA at the end of the 19th century. Today they are a symbol of NY.

Zapraszamy kolejny raz. Słowianie są bardzo przyjaźni.
Awesome video. The weather seemed great and Krakow looked magnificent, as always. That food at Pod Aniolami looked wonderful, too. I visited there back in 2001 and loved the food and the cellars. Btw, your pup is so cute and such an awesome explorer.

Hi Feliz, I’m sure it’s for tourists. It was fun and only a mild hangover 😵! Thanks for watching!
Nice video. Seemed pretty sleepy city. Loved the Dragon's den, which triggered a childhood memory of the Dragon Slide at Atlantis Park, Garden Grove CA.

Thanks Ken! It's a beautiful city, and yes, dragon's den made you feel like you're a child again. 🤣 Thanks for watching!
The round bread thing that you had- "obwarzanek"- it is indeed the ancestor of bagel! Bagels where invented in Kraków in the XVI/XVII century, by the polish Jews who at some point brought the recipe to the States :)

Wow, thank you for the information! 😊
The Bagels were invented in Krakow by polish jews, so that's why you can get this original first recipe Bagels around Krakow. They are not very tasty for tourists but as a pols I remember from my childhood it is the best thing you can ask your parents to bring you back from Krakow.

I love Krakow, the story behind the Trumpeter is interesting. Not sure if you read the reason that it ends abruptly? Apparently they were shot by an arrow which is symbolised by the abrupt stop you can hear in the vid.

The legend says that the trumpeter got shot in the neck with the arrow by a Tartar invader while he sounded the alarm of the invasion. That’s why it stops so abruptly.
Bagels come originally from Kraków 😀it is Polish cousine
I love the inside church concert but hate that the vid is sooo out of date. Krakòw is sooo green now not full of Autum colours. Dragon statue is as we speak celebrates 50 years, big theme events in the city including dragon ice cream....parades, competitions. Kids are looking to start their summer hols next week. Autumn is back to schoool time 😭
