I think those bad comments are actually hurting Lia. because I'm a singer, not a professional one, but everybody experience anxiety, and when I feel anxious oofff my throat start to close and shake, and my voice sound terrible.

@@cristiansandovalmartini5332 She is good singling live and even if she sometimes sounds like she’s not good it’s obviously because of the hard dancing choreography Itzy does as well as pressure from fans and anxiety. You can’t really blame her for that and she recently had to go on hiatus due to high levels of anxiety and health hazards. I’m sure she sings much better when she’s alone or with her members and she’ll def sing a lot better when she comes back from hiatus.

@@cristiansandovalmartini53321 bad live performance does not impact Lia’s vocal ability. She sings much better live the most idols who lip sync almost every performance. JYP would not have made her main vocal if she wasn’t capable of seeing live. Lia has the best vocal range out of all Itzy members and IMO is most suitable for the position.

Rose wasn't even performing that on stage, they were just rehearsing.

Jimin was sick. He couldn’t even perform at their own concert. The boys were tired and we thought they won’t attend that event ( and didn’t focus on voting) They almost fainted after the performances. But guess what? Jimin and Tae were criticized for having weak vocal. Jungkook for being inactive and giving no reaction. Jimin was bullied by netizens and media for many days as they waited that moment for whole life. People still come up with this clip to talk s**t about him. He barely have bad performances apart from that old time when he was not in good condition. He needed to train? No. needed to REST. That boy perfectionist ass trained himself harder than all trainers out here.

Its sad how kpop fandoms hate Jimin over a 2018 clip where he and V were sick, had 24 concerts each year in 2018-19. It’s obvious after so many continuous concerts their voice will break. Well as of 2021 Jimin got rest and his vocals have improved a lot like alot after Butter, atleast you can be relieved that he doesn’t break anymore. Please understand that BTS didn’t get proper rest in 2018-19, BTS was giving out concerts like mad(24 concerts in each year damn!)

I am a singer. It's not easy to put your voice in the right position sometimes. It depends on the situation. Some days my voice sounds better than others, some days I can sing songs perfectly and other days I make mistakes. And it's even harder when you have to perform in a 2h concert where you have to sing and dance at the same time. Besides, these are very few videos of very specific situations, you cannot judge someone's vocal skills by just watching 2 videos of them. These idols have had great vocals moments too, as well as bad ones. Singing is a very hard skill to manage and I understand their voice cannot be great sometimes.

You're a singer, I get your point about people can make mistakes but idols are professionals that they should sing live sometimes with live vocals perfectly. As I said these are very specific situations. I know they are not the best vocalists in the world and they have a lot of things to improve but still, they can sing. Although I gotta admit that idols' vocal training is usually very poor and it should be improved or something cause companies always focus on dance skills rather than vocals

@@marunux Not all idols are horrible singers, definitely. There are idols who are great singers AND great dancers, too. They are not called simply singers, not dancers, not MCs but idols. If we would go back to the start of idol culture in Korea, idols are not simple dancers or singers, they are all-rounder talents. Idols should start showing their singing prowess at some point in the height of their careers. I don't get it when fans always make excuses everytime their idols sing really horribly on stage. How some idols are great "singers" in albums but can't even give a single remotely decent live performance? Rose was just warming up that's why the high note didn't go how she wanted in the performance she did good Lia was panicking and people sometimes have bad days plus just because she didn't sing perfectly that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve the title of main vocal and she is the strongest in vocals in her group Jimin was sick that day but still performed and did the high note and honestly at the starting of the performance I didn't even notice his voice was cracking

@@trollsoifyoufightwithmeyou2472 I think this performance was pretty bad for her standards as well. Lia has a really nice voice, she's easily the best vocalist in Itzy, but she runs out of breath fast and sometimes sounds flat. Her lower register is also way stronger than her high notes.

Yes. Lia's voice went unstable cuz her mom was at the concert. It's totally reasonable to get your throat tight when you feel like crying. tbh JYP's recording/livestream of the performances really did ITZY dirty. Like literally look at the recording any fan who went to the concert and recorded the performances live and in person, itzy sounded wayyyy better and slayyed.

That Rose one was a bit serious. I don't know much about her vocal agility, she really messed up that one. But melisma is not easy stuff tho. Even well-trained singers struggle with that one.

They were just practicing backstage though. It wasn’t a big performance and it wasn’t even one with other idols I don’t think? I think she’s usually fine like in her Masked Singer or Busking performances she sounds great with Suhyun and Onew etc. but the example used was the other idols trying to help her hit her notes so they sang it and then she tried to copy it but was struggling I believe

Her The King Masked Singer and Fantastic Duo episode are one of the highest rating. I'm sorry , but their right ! Rosé is my bias but sometimes she sing offtone and it's not being an hater to realize that some idol need to improve or that their teacher teaches them in the wrong way ! Cause if you know the REAL voice of Rosé you know she sing very well but in slow and deep song , but YG want here to sing nazal and high voice . Edit: I know rosé sing well , and sound pretty good in high voice , but if you listen to raw vocal of rosé ( youtube or even their documentary on Netflix ) you can tell that it's not the best way for her to sing like that , and she can be off tone pretty easily. She has a pretty voice but not a lot of technique. And I repeat : I LOVE ROSÉ ! And I think it's just wanting the best for her to realize that yg is ruining her voice by asking her too much and/or teaching her the wrong way .

The way the vocal trainers at YG teaches rose is a very somewhat old method and her voice isn't "naturally nasally" Its the way the vocal teachers are teaching her which can obviously strain her voice or in instance make her sound a little offtune. Rose has a really nice when she sing in her natural voice. Yall will disagree with anything lmfao if you don't know how the industry works then be quite.

well yeah, pitch is one of rosé’s weaknesses and i used to think that she was one of the worst main vocalists in kpop but i think she’s gotten better! (although she still strains quite a lot)

Thank you for this. I see so many people hating on Lia for hee vocals in ITZY. She's more comfortable with songs like her cover of Let Me Love You. And Rosè was still getting used to her knew technique. And I'm pretty sure Jimin was either sick or had some throat pain all in all. We need to not judge idols based off of years old clips, around debut. They're still learning and improving.

itzy is very talented, they probably have one of the best dance lines in kpop, and yuna is very good a rapping, they also have amazing stage presence and amazing songs, but amongst main vocalist lia is one of the weakest, she can still improve but as of now she is not that good

Nah, they actually doesn't have good singing skill. Lia has better support than both rose and jimin but still she is considered weak. Rose and Jimin both have nasally tone n high pitched tone . Sometimes it may sound very unique but most often it will sound very bad cuz they don't have any good technique and none support.

Y’all gotta understand that BTS had 24 concerts in each of 2018-19 without proper rest. Continuous concerts can obviously ruin your voice(and we know BTS has so many hype songs in concerts which took a toll on Jimin,V’s voice). Look at Proof live performances, they’ve improved alot in 2021-2022.

Instead of pointing out their mistakes try to appreciate thier good works

Every singers are having their bad day. I'm a singer too and a musical theater actor, but I never criticized my fellow singers if ever they had mistake in a single performances. Because I know to myself that every singers are not perfect all the time. Even Mariah Carey had her own bad days in singing. It's just funny how these people who cannot sing at all, are brave enough to criticize these singers. Lol. If you cannot sing, and you are criticizing these idols, then it's the same thing as criticizing your own self even worse.

Itzy is not a group that need strong vocals, their focus is dance and rap so jyp might only have gave her the position to have at least one person that has vocal support, that’s why she sounds “weak” compared to other main vocalist, but you have to consider her role in the group, and you’ll see she fits perfectly in the description jyp wanted…

She has the best technique out of everyone in itzy but she's just not a very stable singer (as in when singing on stage and while dancing). Yeji's technique isn't as good as her but she's rather stable.

I think Lia is the perfect main vocalist for ITZY Like I'm not a professional singer but I've performed in an opera and in the O2 arena(it's a place in London actually BLACKPINK performed there for their world tour) for something called Young Voices but when I'm singing in a large group/with someone else or alone I sing in tune and nicely but when I sing solo or Infront of people I sing very out of tune because I get very anxious around people So I think their could be a similar situation with Lia

Rose improved a lot, the clip was during her rookie days . Her performance with Chanyeol, Jihyo and 10cm in MAMA was so good. Lia is a good singer but she really seems nervous during the performance. Its also understandable that she might be exhausted too since it was a concert.

In this video jimin sing fake love at MGA award show and he was ill and during brazil show his throat hurt so much that it's hard to breath .
