It's interesting how so many reactors who are listening to the trilogy for the first time end up saying III is the best (or second best). Because when the song came out many "fans" declared it would never equal the first two. This is why "fans" are the most unreliable judges of the quality of something. They are too devoted to the past.

I agree, 1 has the benefit of kirk’s best solo on record. But here we get Pappa Het with years of wisdom. Nobody seems to notice but James has gotten better at writing lyrics as an older guy

As a 20+ years diehard Metallica fan, I think it is the best Unforgiven in the trilogy. Just the solo, is just a song in itself.

the whole unforgiven trilogy is such a great story of anger towards everything/everyone around you, to slowly letting outsiders into your life and eventually understanding that oneself is the reason for a lot of grief. and by that it's very teaching for all of us.

Love this song. You should take a listen to the S&M2 version, it's just James singing with an orchestra but sounds so epic!

Don't listen to the people that hate Unforgiven 3 lol. All three songs are incredible in their own ways, I really can't pick one that I like the most. You need to check out Iron Maiden's new song! It's called "The Writing on the Wall", it just came out last week!

@@GiddyKitty I'd recommend reading through the lyrics once before watching the music video, the audio mix on the official video makes it sort of hard to understand the lyrics but they have a powerful meaning. Or at least have the lyrics up somewhere while watching the music video lol. Good luck with your exams!

Personally, my favorite solo of the trilogy, when i first heard it it was amazing and it was like a shot of passion and pleasure for me, it almost makes me cry everytime i hear it, just like the first time i did

I love the album, I just hate the way it was mixed/mastered. If it had the same sonic qualities as the Hardwired album, it would've been so much better.

Glad and relieved that you liked it. This is my fave of the trilogy. I think it's underrated; it doesn't seem to be many people's fave of the 3, and as you said, sadly quite a few folks are rather vocal that it's the 'worst' one.

Dreamcatcher! They are the only kpop group who have consistently used some rock and/or metal elements throughout their career. If you want the songs that contain the most metal elements, try: Endless Night and No More. Both are Japanese singles (metal/rock sounds are generally more accepted there than in Korea).

It is not a Thrash Metal band but you should definitely know Dark Quarterer, an Italian Epic / Progressive Metal band that has nothing to envy to the great English or American bands. The songs Dark Quarterer, The Etruscan Prophecy, Retributioner, Pyramids Of Skulls are masterpieces of this genre.
