It’s kinda hard to believe I’m debuting tomorrow. When I was 16 I auditioned to become a trainee at JYPE. I can’t lie, I miss training. My trainee buddy had always been Heeseung, he had become a great friend of mine but now I think he’s still in training. I’m debuting along with 4 others girls. Over practice we had all become like sisters. We had sort of an interesting concept, kind of a dark concept. Kinda reminds me of Skz and various others. My position in the group was a bit weird, rapping and dancing were my strong suits but I also have vocal lines every once and a while, I guess you could say I’m an all-rounder? I’m not sure if it’s just the fact I’m the youngest, but I’m like a happy virus where ever I go. We began shooting our debut music video the next day. I loved the shooting because they had chosen clothing that showed our individual styles. Some of the girls were in skirts, our lead vocal was wearing an all black outfit and they had picked street wear outfits for me. After a long day of shooting the editors got to work. Me and my group were all so tired from shooting that we immediately all went back to our dorm. The next morning I woke up to the girls screaming. I rubbed my eyes “What, what?”. They pointed at the tv. I looked to see our first MV ever had 350 million views, and counting. I screamed the happiest scream ever. It had been just 1 day and my group was already famous. After about and hour we got ready to go get breakfast at a cafe. As we walked out the door of the building we immediately saw flashing cameras and we saw girl screaming, reaching out to us. I waved to one of them and she just about passed out. As we got to the cafe we saw 20x as many people standing at the window. We slipped through the door to see BTS, yes, Jimin, J-hope, RM, all of them, sitting at a table. I saw Jungkook struggling to close the blinds so no photos could be taken of them eating. “Here, let me help” I reached over and helped him close the blinds. “Thanks” he turned around to look at me. I could see his face turn a bit red. I smiled and walked off to our table. I walked over to our table and the girls were immediately interested. “Wow, you just talked to the Jungkook!”, “Bts is like the most popular K-pop group in the world!”, “Dude I love their songs”, “How were you so calm talking to hi-“. I let out the biggest sigh of relief “It’s called acting and trying not to make a fool of myself”. We all talked for a while and finished our food. We prepared to head out the door when Jungkook tapped my shoulder, “Hey uh, could I get your number?”. I turned around “No…” I said. He looked a little down before I said “But can I get yours?”. He gave me his number before my group left. Over the next week Jungkook became my closest friend ever, we had so much in common. I looked at my email to see that I had been invited to host a show with Sunwoo. Since we were gonna start working on our first album in a week I wouldn’t get to host for too long, just about a week. The next day after I got done hosting my group went to a Stray kids concert. At about the last song I realized that my eyes were always on Felix, I mean, it’s not like I have a crush on him. What kind of person has a crush on someone who is way outta their league like what😅, couldn’t be me… It had been a crazy week, and it was about to get even more interesting. I arrived at the studio to see Ej standing there recording. I set down my bag as my manager called me over. He explained that I was collaborating on a song with him. I did some warm ups and practiced my vocals and rapping. We worked on that song for a whole week, it seemed like we were never gonna get it done, day after day in and out of the studio. Eventually we did get it done, though I wasn’t paying attention much to that. I had bigger things to focus on. Such as finishing up our new album. After we had wrapped that up you’d think I would get a break before it releases and we go on tour. But no, obviously not. I got an offer to star in a K-drama. I’d be taking the lead female role and Hyunjin from SKZ would be taking on the lead male role. My company agreed and they postponed the tour too. Now of course if it was just me they wouldn’t have signed it, but the other girls in my group were busy hosting, modeling and our main vocalist was even creating a solo song. Overall the shooting of the new K-drama was fun, they were already thinking about making a second series. Even I wanted a part 2, I mean the script was incredible. Sure it was about these two dumb hopeless romantics falling for each other but there was depth to the story, you know? Anyways, it only took 2 months of shooting before we finished up the first series. The next morning after the final shooting I saw a video about how I was Nicholas’ ideal type. And of course, fans started shipping us. My first ship was with a guy I had no relation to, hadn’t ever spoken his name. After about a week of almost getting trampled walking down the streets of Seoul, my group was invited to and awards show. When we arrived we saw many celebrities there, from Blackpink to Dua Lipa, you name it. We sat down and cheered as awards got handed out. “And our last award, the fastest growing group of the year(rookie award lol)…X-POSURE!” The host yelled. My eyes widened and I gasped, “that’s us” I whispered. “Yeah…” one of the girls in my group said back. I saw Jungkook wave his hand at us, insisting we go on stage, we’ll, not insisting. More like telling us we need to. I was the first on stage and we each gave like a 5 second speech before leaving for the night. After we left I went to go into our car when I saw Jungkook. I ran over to him “Thanks for letting us know we needed to go up on stage” I laughed. He laughed “Well I’ve been to a few of these before, but now you know the drill” he smiled. I eventually told my group I would get a ride home with him and they left to go party most likely. Me and him walked to a convenience store and got some food and drinks. We walked over by a pond and ate our food. I nibbled on one of the mochi I had gotten. “Is that the strawberry one?” Jungkook looked at me as he drank his water. “Yeah” I nodded and handed it to him. You know it may sound dumb, but getting to just sit and eat junk food with your best friend without cameras watching your every move is really nice. Jungkook had driven me home and I had gone to bed. When I woke up the next morning however, the headlines of news articles were quite unexpected. I opened up my phone to see the news headlines “BTS Jungkook and X-POSURE Abby, supposedly dating?”. I checked various websites, all to see the same picture of us laughing together on a park bench from a distance. I rolled my eyes and go out of bed. I checked Instagram while I brushed my teeth. “Abby doesn’t look good enough for him”. I clicked on another video and scrolled through the comments. “How does Jungkook even like her?”, “Fatty”, “Go on a diet”, “Ogre”. I turned off my phone and threw it on the couch. I didn’t eat breakfast, or lunch, or dinner. I just drank water throughout the entire day. I ate ice cubes once and a while too. I saw some dude had been accused of having a crush on me, Suho? Whoever he is. And yet again the comments were telling me to lose weight. Over the next few weeks I rarely ate anything. I always drank water, but not to much, because I don’t want to get bloated. We were going on tour in just a few days too. I barely ate anything leading up to it, I even passed out at practice twice. I could feel my hair thinning and my spine as well as ribs were visible. I looked like a skeleton, but if it’s what they want, it’s what they get. After our first concert I started to hear the real fans in the comments. Instead of looking at the hate ones i saw ones that were genuinely concerned for my health. I decided that I was gonna gain 10 pounds back before our 3rd concert of the tour. I successfully gained weight and I actually looked amazing. I looked healthy, not like I was dying. After the 4th concert we all sat on the couch watching Tv. “Check the news” one of the girls said. She always wanted to know what was going on, I mean the news isn’t even that interest-. “X-POSURE’s Debut music video takes placed as the fastest MV to ever hit 1 billion views. It took just 7 months for the groups first viral song to hit that gargantuan number.” The reporter continued to speak as we all sat hunched up on the couch in blankets with faces of disbelief. Our main vocalist snatched her phone off the table and called her mom. I heard our main rapper talking to her sister. The other two were calling their friends. I picked up my phone to call my mom. She picked up the phone, “Hello?”. My smile was so huge “Umma, you would not believe what just happened”
