Side Note:
These agility & skills courses/exercises are designed to help develop the fundamental riding skills of clutch, throttle, brake and active balance by the rider.
Precise practice in coordinating these techniques can lead to instinctive/reflexive actions by the rider and allow for more precise control of the motorcycle.
Mastery of these techniques allows the rider to more smoothly transition the bike when cornering as well as being able to react reflexively when encountering unexpected changes in surface traction in off road conditions.
Depending on your skill level, you may want to make the courses larger to feel more comfortable while you develop these skills.
Performing these exercises carries a risk of dropping your motorcycle which may result in damage to you or your motorcycle. Always be sure that your bike has the proper crash guards and that you also wear the appropriate protective gear.

For running in the engine, its best to go up and down the gears and not holding the same rpm for long periods of time, You want to bed in the piston rings and not glaze the cylinder surface.

Thanks! Ive been pretty good at that so far. Good thing is I don’t ride long stretches of highway where I’d be cruising along in top gear doing that… but just today I had a short section of asphalt and had it up to 100kph and it was very comfortable at that speed. 👍🏻

My landlord has one and let me ride it. The fuel being held so low really makes the thing stable at low speed. It’s probably the easiest bike to ride at near stand still I’ve ever ridden. If my landlord ever plans to sell his, I plan to be top of the buyer list.

I have been suprised that I have found myself needing to be in first gear for some of the technical stuff in the sand. Other 450 bikes and even on my GS I wold be in second. But, it does a great job at any speed with it's steady and predictable roll on of power.

Have you ever ridden a BMW GS? They are by far the smoothest and most comfortable bike I have ridden in slow speed first gear riding… not for rock crawling over babyhead size rocks but agility courses 👍🏻

@@advmotoskillz yep! I actually used to be a mechanic for bmw motorrad. I love GSs! Especially the older 1200s with screw/locknut valve adjustment. They’re really easy to do home maintenance on.

That's a really nice bike!! Full throttle on that and pump up the adrenaline 😅 because riding on sand it's the most tricky thing I've made in a motorbike. The only way to predict that you will fall 😅, ride it 😂

Does the fuel gauge not work? I thought you said you filled it up. I might be confused lol. I also feel like it's to close in price to the T7 and the halfrica twin the trans alp.

Fuel gage works 👍🏻 I re-filmed the close ups of the TFT when I got home because the camera was too far away to see the screen when I was out on the ride. 👍🏻

Excellent! I just had the 500km oil change done the other day. Managed to put on some Barkbusters too. I'm mostly ridding it in sand. I've been surprised at needing to use 1st gear😅 the mapping is pretty tame, but it does make the power delivery very predictable and it does end up rolling on like a tractor. I’m going to have fun on it this summer for sure!

@@advmotoskillz We have a lot sand here in Arizona, too. Once I changed out the stock tires, got the suspension dialed to my weight and style, and put on the full titanium race exhaust and race ECU, the bike absolutely rips! I'm so addicted to the throttle, can't help myself revving it all over the place and blasting through all the terrain. 🤙

It's going to be interesting to see how Kove moves forward without the founder. I couldn't imagine spending $10K on a desert bike and not have support or be able to get parts. Might be another very short lived brand. Kove was CoLove...might it change again?

Well, the interest from the public seems strong, delers are selling out of all the Rally bikes they get. Not sure about the other bikes they offer though. Lets hope they continue and spur the other manufactures to make similar bikes.

Without the founder?? Without support? 6 founders at the beggining 5 still at Kove. In 2017 6 employes, in 2024 over 1000 employes. Zhang Xue is still the owner of Kove.
