KOSHEEN 'Hide U'
The 7th edition of The World Electronic Music Awards will take place in Las Vegas (Dates will be announced Shortly). A two-hour primetime TV show will be broadcast in 120 territories worldwide. The key award categories are Artist of The Year in Europe, Asia, North America, and World Artist of The Year. The live show will feature international superstars from cinema, TV, and social media, with the world’s biggest DJs and Artists collaborating and showcasing the best tracks of the year during the two-hour live show. The worldwide livestream will feature behind the scenes, red carpet, interviews, and post show reviews.
The first World Electronic Music Awards, then known as The Dancestar Awards were launched on a grand scale in the year 2000 at Alexander Palace, London with over 5,000 industry attendees and 21 TV Cameras capturing every angle. Certainly, nothing like it had been done before in the Electronic Music space.
The show continued to expand annually and in 2002, Dancestar was also launched in Miami during The Winter Music Conference, taking over six blocks of sand on Miami Beach. In all, six Dancestar shows were staged between 2000 and 2004 on both sides of the Atlantic with Dancestar USA 2004 credited as the most widely televised Electronic Music event in history, broadcast in over 50 countries to an estimated 600 million households.
The TV shows were hosted by superstar DJs and Hollywood Stars; Boy George, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Juliette Lewis, Tess Daly, Rosalyn Sanchez, and Carmen Electra.
Dancestar featured Live Performances from; ATB, Fragma Ft. Coco, Chicane Ft. Bryan Adams, P. Diddy Ft. Kelis, IIO, Telepopmusik, MOBY, Oakenfold, Alice DJ, Artful Dodger, Funkstar Deluxe, Luck & Neat, Architects, Faithless, Girl Next Door, Jakarta, Pied Piper, Public Domain, Safri Duo, Sonique, Ian van Dahl, Kosheen, Lasgo, Orbital, Shy FX, Tim Deluxe, Funky Green Dogs, Grandmaster Flash, Green Velvet, Kelis, Masters At Work, Dark Beat, Audio Bullys, JC Chasez, Dirty Vegas Ft. Bootsy Collins, DJ Sammy, Blue Man Group, Motorcycle, The Crystal Method, Precision Guided Musicians.

the US seems to have to sit on UK sounds for a while, let them sink in and linger on for a while. don't mean that in a bad way, just how i perceive it

Very different tastes and different mentality in the US compared to the UK and Europe as a whole. In the 90s and early 2000s music in Europe was much more daring and innovative compared to the US. It seemed light years apart.

why do you want stuff to be mainstream anyway? thats pretty fucked up... or should i say- american?! anyway, you dont need to overshare literaly everything to the point where nobody wants any of it... let things be as they are for once and if thats underground shit then so be it... kosheen is still a wanted act BECAUSE they were not that weird "global charts number one for six weeks straight" hollywood ass "look at me" bollocks...

I wish Kokopelli wasn't the 2nd album.... Whoever ill advice them to go full pop after such an ICONIC electronic album like Resist should be fired. It tanked their career.... Damaged should of been the second album. Still an amazing band

I love Kokopelli. So many great songs. I think the problems were guitars they used. Noone expected that. Honestly, their every album is a pop in the highest level, more electronic or more guitar I dont care. I love them.
