The base number that you take will also come as the total number of avartanams..for ex if it’s 3 then total avartnams also will be 3 !!

You have to take the total thalam count and then work according to your expectations and creativity. For example, if you want to create a small korvai say for 30 counts in adhi thalam. you can start the korvai with 2 counts left in the beginning or if you want to start from the samam, you can do 30/3= 10+1+10+1+10=32. So 10 counts and 1 count gap, 10 counts and 1 count gap and 10 counts. Like that, u can split it. This is a small level. same thing will apply to big korvais also
