Actually if you hear carefully around 1:25 you can barely hear the bass, this song is beatiful

This band really gave a new perspective to de "twin guitar" model in Metal (& maybe even other genres), and broke the mold on the "lead & rhythm" guitars, having Munky & Head playing some pretty weird shit sometimes, and definitely not what we were used to back then. Add Fieldy's bass as a percussion instrument, great drumming by (the forgotten?) David SIlveria, and some fucked up & traumatized lyrics by Jon, and there you have it people: KoRn 🤘

You can still hear feildy slapping the shit out of that bass

I love the use of flatted 5ths by Korn. Head called it the “Bungle” chord.

This song is actually pretty insane - you really hear the bass as the "heavy" part to the song, the chorus almost sounds happy. Its pretty crazy how everything melded together to create what the song is.

0:58 my favorite Pre-Chorus just because of the guitars.

Freak on a leash is in Guitar Hero 4, and the audio files for all the instruments are separated in the games files, so you can just take out the audio for one instrument and hear it by itself. Falling away from me was also uploaded to KZread, and Word Up, Hold On, and Haze are also in Guitar Hero/Rock Band games, but they haven’t been uploaded to KZread yet.
