Very good lesson. It's not about who can play the parts, it's about who can compose original music and who is tolerable on tour. The internet is full of drummers who can play the parts, but someone who fits into the band, can repeat a gig a million times and bring the groove night after night? Very few. Now if we got someone to fill in for Danny Carey for a night to shut up the fanboys.

While I do agree that Abel is a great drummer (you can find more stuff on him online) if you watch closely, you can tell he is "drumming" to a pre-recorded drum track for the songs. The drum fill at around 4.06 shows this. There are some ghost notes on the snare drum and Abel doesn't hit the snare drum at all in the clip.
