Korg Volca Jam #2 - FM2 + nubass + Beats + Mix

Korg Volca Jam using the Korg Volca FM2 for the melodic part, the Korg Volca nubass for Bass, the Korg Volca Beats for drums and the Zoom MS-70CDR as an Effect processor and at least the Volca Mix for Mixing and send effect routing. The Melodic Patterns were directly programmed and chained into the Volcas. The video was recorded with an iPhone 14 Pro using the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 for Video and Logic Pro X for Audio recording. Video editing was done with LumaFusion on an iPad Pro 4th gen. Feel free to ask for more details.

Cool jam! Ifnyou don't mind a boring tech question; Did you buy new or cut and adapt the length of your cables or just hid them? I have a similar set up (but no rack) and it is a mess. Thanks!

Not at all a boring question. I used the cables that came with the units and hid them at the back of the rack to get better access to the buttons!

Very well, sounds cool! Don't you have issues with ground loop or hum when using volca beats and mix? I am getting crazy because of this 🤪

Thank you!!! 🙏 yes i have those noises. Especially with the NTS-1. In this Video i managed it somehow to reduce the noises!
Wonderful jam my man ,, im getting very interested in the volca series , im already sold on the nubass as an "Acid " tool but would love to know which of the ,, keys ,, & , fm ,, volcas youd recomend !!???? 😮🤯👍jaffa

Thank you very much! If you are new to synthesizer i would recommend to start with the volca keys as i think that it is quite easy to use as an analogue synth. The FM is quite complex but also very versatile!
Love this, thank you for sharing. I’ve tried to recreate something similar in my setup, but I am new to this and I can’t get nearly as nice sound. I suspect it is my mix and effects. My setup is the Circuit Tracks, as the main clock. Drums from the Volca Drum, bass line from one of the synths in the Tracks and Volca FM2 for the melody. I don’t know exactly the patch you have, but I managed to get something similar going. 🙂 Unfortunately, it sounds pretty crappy, even trying to some of the Tracks effects. Any suggestions? I feel my mixing and effects are the problem. Any advice? 🙏
