KORG Volca Bass, Beats, Keys, Sample & Monotron | TECHNO Jam #02
Музыка
I made this track with the four Volcas and the Monotron Delay by Korg. The Monotron adds some delay and noise to the Volca Bass. The Volca Sample is only used for some additional drums (factory preset samples).
No post processing. Just the pure Volca sound. Hope you like it :).
The tiny mixer is a diy passive mixer. very simple and cheap to build if you know how to solder. Perfect for the volcas.

I'm too drunk to break it down now but look up side-chaining and ADSR (specifically what the attack parameter does) on Google and you should be able to piece it together.

Your intimate knowledge of these Volcas is so evident. Awesome jam.
Dude this is an insane tune! How is this not out there for every DJ to buy? Goosebumps all over me!
Well done , Korg should hire you. What you do is very difficult to do live without messing up the sound between transitions. I have tried to do what you are actually doing many times on my own set up. But you have kept the whole thing very pleasing to the ear and you are gentle on sculpting the sound from one state to another. 10 out of 10 there from a slightly jealous of you Irishman. :-).

Just use Ableton to record Live Jams then clean them up a bit. Using 4 Volcas, Korg Monologue, novation circuit and a number of stomp boxes with some sequences and a couple of keyboards. Been at it for six months now as an experiment just to see if it would be enjoyable. Well experiment over, no turning back now. It is though a tad bit hard on the wallet, but so is Ableton and all of the Loop-master purchases.

Pretty much the best Volca jam I've ever heard, it was an inspiration and a pleasure .This just proves it's not about spending thousands of pounds on gear it's about patience and talent ...!
Best jam I've seen using all four volcas. Brilliant!
I got the same set up a few years back, couldn't get anywhere near as good as this guy. Probably the best in the world on Volca.
Why do you only have two videos? We need to hear more from you!
really great!
This kind of stuff is what makes youtube magic.
Just checking back in, telling you, that its still not too late to do more videos for us. :)
Orgasmic track. Still coming back and listening to it since I discovered it few years ago. And clearly the gear has nothing to do, this is pure talent expression.
This and #3 are still the best Volca jams on KZread, thought we needed an update on the issue.
these three videos are by far the best thing of any synth set up and they are the cheapest and most basic......I have owned the bass and it isn't hard to get good sounds...but the ordination between 4 and the mix is at another level....he could be professional, if he wanted , and may well be a pro just having fun, probably a member of Radiohead jajajahahaha
Awesome! Probably the best Volca jam on youtube...

Totally agree....!!!
This man is an absolute UNIT.
And this is what is sounds like when someone with talent puts use of these wicked little machines!
I love this! The volcas are so retro and nostalgic, they make a cool setup for having fun with
'TECHNO Jam #02' is an absolute classik Volca track... Keep coming back to this again and again, year after year after year after year... forever and ever. Amen.
The best only-volca-jam I've ever heard!
That’s a genius performance. Complete mastery.
One of the top jam videos on youtube in my opinion!
Every now and then i come back to this video to re-listen this amazing jam. Totally convinced me to buy the volca series!
Out of all the synth videos I’ve been watching for 7+ years on yt, this is the one I’ve been listening to the most. This is a v powerful composition, and it’s not outfashioned at all. I wonder who’s this guy.

Hi Mark. I want to start doing sounds with volcas. But witch one is the best to start? I'm a knewbee.
@Yuzuki1337
3 жыл бұрын
@@sergiosimoes9742 Drum, Bass and Keys are all good starting point depending on what you wanna focus on first and can be used in all kinds of genres. If you like the Volcas you will probably want all of those sooner or later. Modular and FM are really powerful little sound makers, but they are pretty complex for a beginner. Hope I could help! :)
The best techno video bar none. The instruments which are relatively cheep sound like a million bucks. Well done.
It's 2024 and I just discovered this video/track. Superb! The track immediately takes me away to another place... and no, I'm sober ;-). Good times.
Right at 3:30 when you increase the attack of the volca keys in order to give a side-chaining effect is so fucking awesome man! Great jam!!
Reminds me of Nathan Fake's The Sky Was Pink, love the Korg sound.
PUT IT ON AN LP !!! And no Stress with the Music, it comes when it comes :)
ive listened to this probably 6 times in the last few days. I love this set. great work!
the volcas have been out for a while now and this is still the coolest i have heard them played. good job!
Ever wonder who actually downvotes these videos? There is clear skill on display here, and a great tune created from a jam session. This is great stuff.
This session is dope! Great tune and even greater artist... making the volcas sound like that is pure magic! Thx!
This is the first time I love the result achieved with volcas without post processing. Cool minimalist set ;-)
This is actually a badass beat! I likes when the bass drops in middle of the song
Really nice jam there - here in June 2024 commenting: thanks for the upload!
Waiting on my first Volca instrument. Can’t wait to have fun with it.
Those little machines makes great sounds!
Good job... enfin un mec qui fait un truc valable avec ces petites machines...
If Korg sticks all these 4 modules together in 1 music production unit I would queue up happily to buy.
Incredible, best ever, you should do your own album.
so deep; so beautifull! thx for this volca jam!
love it too... ... pure music... great job man
One day this guy will come back and be completely bedazzled by the amount of people who wanted him to make more stuff!
this is far the best use of the volcas ever ! amazing track, amazing arranged and nice playing.
Best thing I've seen come out of Volcas. Way to think outside of the box!
fine work, have been enjoying this out in the garden watching a thunderstorm roll in, with appropriate lightening effects from mother nature
Best youtube video on the Volcas!👍 Do more!❤️
the monotron is lovely
I've been toying with the idea of getting into this, constantly telling myself that I won't be any good and that I'll just be wasting my time and money. But after watching this, I think I'm going to go for it.

man still love your volca jams
I come back to this day after day...so inspirational! Thank you so much.
i now need a volca. and man this was awesome btw. not many people know how hard that must have been to prep.
Man, you should come back. These tracks are incredible.
heartbreakingly perfect
These are really great - are you ever going to upload again?
This jam 'rides' nicely.
Superb Techno Jam.
love it so much....happy tune 😀 😏😛🙌🌞 🌝 🎶
This vid inspired me to buy a Volca keys, then a bass, beats sample, FM, a minilogue and eventually a Synthstrom Deluge
Love 💘 jamming with volcas 💛💛💛❤❤❤💚💚💚

An iconic track.
Keep coming back to this one - so good
42 deaf people didn't like this jam. Best Volca performance I have seen and I have seen many...
When and if you decide to thing about making more of these videos, just keep in mind that you now, apparently, have an international audience :D As ever, the 3 existing tracks are just showing that it' not the gear that counts, but rather the person playing it. We all hope to see/hear more from you soon :D
This jam slaps like a mofo. I think I’ve listened 10 times so far!! Bravo!
I am so gladd i discovered these mans videos. Amazing! And yeah, like all of us we would love to hear more. Please post some more.
this is really cool, this song changes so subtly, and its tells a crazy story

Wonderful stuff. I so much need to get the Bass, Beats and Keys! Seeing jams like this just reinforces the potential of the Volca range and acts as a reminder that I need to acquire them!
BEST Volca Commercial there is!
GREAT jam with all volcas!
Sick is a understatement.. BRUTAL!!!
I'm really feeling this, you need to release it
One of my favorite Volca jams on the tube!!! Sooo juicy!
best live volca track I've seen
Each month I check explicitly if you have anything new. And still waiting. You are good!
So dope. I can only really follow along so much though. A walkthrough of your set up would be amazing.
An inspiration for us all.
Back here listening for the 352nd time. Always sounds amazing. Sooooo goooooood.
