Korg Electribe 2 Mega Raw Session - Extended Tutorial, Track from Scratch Step by Step

Музыка

Hey everyone! After some short break I am back with this extended Electribe 2 Raw session! 😃 As always, this is the full process unedited and uncut to show you how I make music on the Korg Electribe 2. This version of the Electribe is using the Hacktribe OS, which allows me to use custom samples with extended oscillators and extra features.
I hope you'll enjoy this video!

    Fantastic tutorial, thanks for uploading. ✨👍✨🙂✨It’s always fascinating to see the techniques you use to get these sounds out of the Electribe 2. Is there any chance you could do a tutorial on how you programmed the song Insomnia by Faithless into it? It would be greatly appreciated✨🙂✨

    Thank you! 😊 Oh, I've used a midi keyboard connected to the E2 and recorded the synth part with the keys. It would be very challenging for me to try to program it in using the step editor or eveen the E2 pads... The drums were quite simple and easy to program as 4 on floor rhythm

    @@RandomNoiseMusic thanks for getting back to me. That’s interesting to know how you did it. I’ve been playing around with an Arturia Keystep 37 plugged into the E2 tonight and got some pretty nice results. I find altering the Last Step function is good for changing the sound. Keep up the good work. I always find it very inspiring.✨🙂✨🙌🙌🙌✨

    hey thanks for watching, glad to know its useful! 🙏🏻 I'm using the Hacktribe firmware, and I'm using a mac app to transfer the samples to an SD card and upload it on the E2. I've made a quick video for it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6aY08mxnMu6oso.html

    How do you usually decide on your initial Tempo, and, do you change it as you are developing the track? Thanks!

  • @RandomNoiseMusic

    @RandomNoiseMusic

    Great question, the tempo really depends on my mode most of the time and how I feel in the moment when I seat to create something. The more I am excited, the higher the tempo usually lol I go with lower tempo when I am maybe in a more melancholic or thoughtful state of mind. I usually stick to the initial tempo and don't change it after I started working on a track

    hello, could you also recommend the best model to focurite?I know the 2i2 should go but I wanted the certainty from you that I have been following you for a long time and I trust you

  • @RandomNoiseMusic

    Hey, sure the 2i2 is great if all you plan to have is the Electribe (or any other single gear). I've started with the 2i2 and upgraded to the 18i8 because I started to have more gears. If you know you plan to have more external hardware in the future, than go for something with more input than the 2i2, but if you need it just for the E2, then its perfect. Hope this help!
