i can understand that Koreans don't like rosół because its a simple soup and they use a lot of spices in their soups. But i love my rosół a lot :)

I always eat rosół quite spicy because that's the way we make it in my family (with a lot of black pepper, marjoram, bay leaf and parsley) and to be honest I don't think I ever had a watery one - for us it means it's not made right. I get why they didn't like it, I wouldn't either if it tasted like water xD (should somebody tell them that it's the soup to eat for hangover? xD)

european gastronomy not really put spices on the foods especially in the restaurants it is the reason why there is salt pepper and other stuffs on the desks!

  • @Lola_in_the_Black

@@gipsymelody1268 It applies to only some dishes though because if you know how to cook you don't add all the spices in the end - they won't work the way they should (that's why some should be added hours before cooking, some during and only some in the end). Which is why certain dishes that are spiced in the end might be bland in a bar mleczny. And of course restaurants don't make everything super spicy simply because many people don't like that and they'd lose clients.

The pierogi with strawberry reminds me of our crumbed pasta that we fill with plum jam. It calls 'derelye' or 'barátfüle' (friend's ear) in Hungarian. Hungary and Poland have a few same traditional dishes like crumbed meat, chicken and tomato soup, cabbage dishes. It's great, I wouldn't be hungry. 😋

We actually have something a bit similar which is "knedle ze sliwkami" which would be potato dumplings with hungarian plums inside. I loved it as a kid. We actually traced our family roots on my Mom's side to some nobles that moved to Poland with king Stefan Batory in the 16th century so I definitely have some Hungarian in my Polish blood. Probably why I am the only Pole I know who loves spicy food and keeps nice stash of paprika handy at all times.

I totally understand these guys! I used to travel a lot - have been to Caribbean countries, North American countries, South American countries and some of the European countries and in every region I've been to, I tried to eat their "best" national dishes. Some were perfect, some were good, some yucky, not saying not-eatable - that's normal, especially when we are used to certain flavors! That's how it is! You liked some tastes, the other you didn't. I understand it in 100%! Respect for trying them out and share with us your opinion! P.S.: Marysia, co oni Ci zrobili, że miałaś taką minę na końcu? :D

Brocoli with cheese pierogi are quite nice. In UK you can find Korean food. I have not try yet, but my son advised me to try, because he likes generous sezoning.
