That's an odd generalization. (and provably false) Detoxification mainly happens in the liver (and some other organs), what comes out of our bodies are products of that process, often not harmful at all. The majority of human feces is composed of stuff you can't digest at the moment (too much fat, protein etc.), dead cells and bacteria. Some of which CAN actually be good for you! Look up "fecal transplant". This is pretty much what the wine is, you add rice for the bacteria to feed on, so you get more gut bacteria and products of their metabolism, which both help digestion. Having too much bacteria could be harmful yes, but poo itself is not "toxic".

Also, in that video these Koreans claimed to be the “truth” of it, it only showed that the guy had trouble finding it (this video also showed that young Koreans did not hear about it and the Doctor claimed to be one of the last people that knew how to make it,) and it literally said that the Doctor’s life was ruined because the KBS/Korean national news got mad and the medicine board was giving troubles to his business. HOW IS IT JAPANESE’S FAULT?!?! Even if I understand the conflicts between these two countries, it is still such a reach to blame Japanese for this 😬 You can’t call it fake just because you don’t like the idea of it or because you’ve never heard of it or because the reporter was a Japanese. 🙄

Yea welll if not Japan then it would be China. Anything that remotely reflects “bad” images on them, they would blame it on Japan/China. Korean students in my school would usually learn how to say a Chinese sentence like “thank you/sorry/I’m Chinese” so when they get called out for being disruptively loud in common space, they can use those sentences to pretend they are Chinese and took the blame off Koreans 😓 kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth like their poop wine, doesn’t it?

This is a traditional method that was used during the Chosun times. It isn't used in the modern days. Thanks' so much for this awesome documentary VICE TEAM... :) Also, I have to say, I have a lot of respect for this Japanese VICE journalist... For her to be doing that in the name of truthful and honest journalism is extremely amazing and for me she is a very brave woman to be doing it... And she seems like a really cool, down to earth woman too... Not to mention she's a bit of a comedian too... :D I've first seen her when she visited the naked solitary Japanese man named Nagasaki and that documentary was brilliant as well... Two Thumbs Up for the woman and for this documentary... Keep it coming VICE! More power to you guys... ^_^

I'm only 23 and I must say this is at the top of my list of "craziest shit" I've ever heard. She is probably my favorite reporter from VICE

@cloudy rq Obviously, this is some form of anti Korean propaganda from Japan lol I’ve seen anti Korean Japanese trolls bring this wine up numerous of times in arguments with Koreans. Hmm, wonder where they got the information from 🤔 It’s like if they sent a Korean to go to Japan to interview a cannibal and showcase an area filled with statues of dismembered people and said, “Hey look, this is part of Japan’s traditional culture”. Sounds ludicrous doesn’t it?

I bet the human centipede was a beautiful movie to this "doctor".
