it was a banned superbowl ad ^^; I remember one of my exes showing that ad to my parents. I remember they found it funny, but it coming from a teenager? Oooooh boy...

this actually surprised me. I have seen the reaction to this ad on several other korean reaction channels and everybody takes it way too seriously. It’s slightly annoying. 😃 As an european I found that ad to be the best one because it’s funny and as you said we tend to appreciate those types of commercials the most in the west. This is one of the best examples of different cultural mindsets between west and the east.

@@litterascriptamanet7975 because most cultures that arent attached to the west see children as blessings and lift someone's status and makes them richer in certain aspects. So to then go and say that children are burdens and expect those cultures to laugh along with you, it's really not realistic at all. European culture is the one at the forefront of abortions being legal because they really do see children as burdens. There was even a video of a girl saying a baby is a parasite. That's how detached from life forming European culture seems to be right now

@@baybeetacoo8734 I don’t know if it’s that deep (the european part ). 😃 We just simply don’t take anything too seriously and don’t get offended easily. It is obviously hard to generalise entire continent but european sense of humour is more on a dark side. This is nothing compare to how far we can go to joke about something. But yes, as a liberal society abortions are legal all across Europe and we see having children both as a blessing but also hard work which might be different from the east where they either live in some sort of fantasy universe where all of their children are angels all the time or simply think about them as ones. But I see your point - I just find it to be interesting to see how two different mindsets on parenthood and humour can be observe on something so trivial as commercial. 🤔

@@jessidiary4884 If you search funniest commercials on youtube a lot of the commercials on the list are going to be banned in some countries but that doesn’t mean they are not funny. Ban on ads has nothing to do with how humorous they are rather it is a statement of how conservative/liberal some countries are. And in the west people see shock value as a healthy form of enterartainment as oppose to the east. This specific commercial is dutch and it goes well with european darker sense of humour but I understand why more conservative countries would choose not to air it.

Contraception is a very important BEAST thing 😏

The one with the screaming child is very appropriate. Many people who go into parenthood see it through rose colored glasses. That commercial is showing the reality. Until recently, pregnancy tests always showed the woman/couple happy with a positive result. Now they are beginning to show people happy with a negative result. Children are a choice, and not everyone wants to make that choice. Decades of promoting parenthood without actually addressing the hardships parents have, have brought forth many unhappy, overwhelmed, parents. Raising a child is not always sunshine and rainbows, and thankfully we are starting to see more accurate representations of what parenthood is like.

For real I think this should be showed to younger teen kids because they are more the ones not using condoms this add show what would happen to teens if they were having sex without protection .they should always be informed

@@jinssugarkookie5115 can't they be shown the results of STDs? I get it, in the west you are all about independence from children and find this normal. But there are a number of reasons why such things aren't okay. Mocking kids and elderly people and presenting them as a burden is mocking yourself, respectively what you were and what you will be. It's also insensitive to the not-so-few people who have problem conceiving. It's one thing to warn about unwanted pregnancies, it's another thing to just show a screaming kid. See, if the father was a teen, it would've been fine, contextually it would come out as two teens not using a condom which led to unplanned pregnancy. That's one thing. Presenting an adult with a child and saying 'prevent this, use a condom' is insensitive, immoral and dumb.

Many people go into pregnancy without a real idea of what's ahead. Parenthood is amazing but also really, really difficult at times. Showing the realities of babies (which yes, includes the constant screaming) gives people the ability to make a more informed choice on whether they want to conceive or not. Babies scream. Babies poop everywhere and vomit and take all your time and attention. This is the reality and it isn't insensitive to show this? This is why many parents get overwhelmed with their first child because they weren't properly prepared or informed, ESPECIALLY teen parents.

As I said, take a teen actor to play the dad, show something more significant than a kid throwing a tantrum, like rejection from family, financial problems, the possible harm to a too young mother's body. But this way you're saying that kids are just a burden regardless of wanted or not. If you want a kid but can't conceive, how will that make you feel? It's another question that no human being should be considered a burden. As I said, calling kids or elderly people a burden is calling yourself a burden.

Why is the first thing that comes out of Hoseung’s mouth, when asked about contraception was - Pills, NOT condoms? Because the truth is, no male really likes wearing a condom, but if it is a case of no condom, no sex, let’s just say it’s a learning curve 😊 PS: The balloon segment, when the third balloon arrived, Youngjung’s hands were closed over his face, Hoseung’s were too, but his fingers were parted, so he was still looking! The Beast is so cheeky.....😁

Well, it might be that some people don't think of condoms as contraception. Generally, people associate them with the terms 'precautions' and 'safe sex', rather than 'contraception' and pills are the usual association with the last one. It's kind of the way the average person's brain functions, regardless of whether they know that condoms are contraceptive or not.

There was such an array of condoms in the chemist and supermarket, it took you quite a time to navigate that section. These days the section has slimmed down somewhat, survival of the fittest/strongest 😁
